I can't believe that this kind of legislation would even be considered.
It's heartbreaking. It's not the dog's fault, it's the
irresponsibility of the owner, and the abuse of those who are sorry sons of
*****es. I have a bull dog, and she is a sweetheart. If anyone thought so
much as to hurt her, I would be the one they need to fear. |

Please don't ban these dogs!! They are the most loving, sweetest breed
I have ever known. My pitbull Buddy saved my son! My 2year old son was
suppose to be sleeping, and I was doing the dishes when I heard Buddy
growling in the living room. I went to see what he was growling at and I
was shocked to see my son hanging out the window head down, he had pushed
the screen out of the window. Buddy had a hold of my son's pants at the
waist in his teeth, preventing him from falling!! He saved my son's
life, if Buddy hadn't held on to him he would have fallen head first!!
I think he was growling to get my attention, as soon as I grabbed my son
and held him close, Buddy was licking my son all over. My dog is only
guilty of loving and protecting his loved ones! |

Another point to be made is that when a dog attacks the police or people
that saw the attack automatically assume its a pitbull, but many breeds
look just like pitbulls and even I myself somtimes confuse other dogs to be
pure bred pits. |

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!? your going to ban dogs because of
their reputation?! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!? If this law passes, then who
knows what the next law will be. We have to stop this now before its passed
in other states. |

What the hell do those idiots think they are doing. When provoked or raised
the wrong way don't HUMANS react in a negative way?? What are you going
to ban the human race because of a few morons out there can't properly
raise their animals. If you are banning these poor animals you might want
to ban yourselves for being stupid, judegmental, single minded ***holes
that should not have been let out of the house on your own leash. This is
kind of law his hypocritical, ALL dogs, all animals for that matter have
the potential to cause damage. Don't take these poor things out of
their loving homes, they just need a chance just like the moron that come
up with this idea. I have had one of these loving dogs, brought up around 3
kids, 1 other dog and a cat and NOT ONCE did he ever even act as though he
was going to harm any one of them. Don't be coldhearted and kick these
poor things out of their homes. |

Trying to ban the pit ball is wrong they are no more likely to attack
someone than any other dog, humans are more likely to attack and kill
someone than a dog is. And as for the legislation California are trying to
pass the sb 861 thats just murder because they are to small minded and
compleate wankers and maybe they are the ones who should be killed. not the
thousands of innocent dogs. |

Exterminatign Pit Bulls is an ignorant way to solve a problem. Let's
start exterminating the folks that use them for fighting. If these jerk
offs that want to lay down all Pits know a little history, they'd know
that the American Pit Bull was trained to be a bull, and sometimes hog
catch dog..., pardon the french, but if you want to kill all pits because
you think all they do is kill, you're a ****tard and deserve to be
shot. |

I own a pitbull and I would give my life for him before his life was taken
from me. The breed was bred to not like other dogs, but be very compatible

This is awfull... Both my brother and my boyfriend have pitbulls and they
are both the sweetest animals on this earth. My brother has a 4 year old
son whos best friend is the pit. Any dog is what the owner makes it to
be... I know a whole lot of other people with pits that are willing to give
up their life for their dog, so I guess if you guys are planning to kill
the breed there are going to be alot of dead people aswell.....
There are bad people in this world commiting crimes, should we go around
killing everybody, for the crimes of a few??
I pledge NO to pit extermination..... |

This is the possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard in my life. You
cant judge the many on the actions of the few. If low life gang banger

they wouldnt ask for the heads of all ducks, would they? |

Its wrong to punish an living organism for something it has no control of,
you can raise a human to be a pure murderer, to kill and eat other humans,
or you can raise it to be a nice person, it goes the same way for animals,
You can take a Chihuahua and train it to be a killer, its all about who
raises and teaches the animal, Last thing I have to say is, WWJD. |

I am the proud owner of what we presume to be a pit bull mix. He is the
SWEETEST dog! my husband's mother has a friend who has always been
TERRIFIED of ALL dogs. However she got over that fear upon meeting OUR
dog. She ADORES our dog and now wants one herself! It is all in how the
pet is raised. And furthermore - they'd have to PROVE that it's a
pit bull (and if it were in my circumstances, they'd have to PROVE that
my dog is dangerous which they couldn't!!!!! Not any more dangerous
than I am!! (tho my husband says they'd have a force to be reckoned
with if they tried taking our dog!!!) The example of the dogs in Denver
that were illegally taken and euthanized by police - they would have a HUGE
lawsuit on their hands for THEFT and ILLEGAL ENTRY, BREAKING AND ENTERING
WITHOUT PROBABLE CAUSE, and MURDER OF A FAMILY MEMBER!!! My dog is not
just a pet but a FAMILY member!!! |

Has no one ever watched "The Dog Whisperer"? He shows just how
dogs, and pits in particular, simply need a human who will be pack leader.
It is NOT the dog's fault, it is how it is raised by its human. I know
a pit mix that is undoubtedly the sweetest, most willing-to-please, loving
dog I have ever known, and I've had dogs for over 40 years. Banning
pit bull dogs would be a mistake. It would be akin to killing all humans
who have a relative that is a murderer. It makes no sense at all. To all
those people who are terrified of pit bull dogs, I say "Go meet one
and you will, no doubt, fall in love with it," just like I did! |

I am a single female of 22 and have one of the most sweetest pitbull. She
is excited when anyone walks in the room. Loves attention and would prob
pee on your foot before even thinking of growling. She is 2 years old and
has not even growled at a cat much less a person. There is nothing wrong
with the breed. What the government needs to consider is how the dog,
pitbull or german shepperd or boxers or ANY breed, is being raised. There
IS already a law against mistreating of animals. Maybe they should focus on
that for a minute, because that is where it starts. In the home, just as it
does with children. Hate the deed, not the breed. |

The dogs shouldn't die. The people who make the dogs fight should be
the one's who get some kinda of punishment. They take advantage over
the dogs because they're so protective of there owner. Ihave 2
bulldogs. Neither one has come close to biting or snapping at anyone.
Please think. Please don't kill an innocent creature.. When people are

Don't punish the animals because we as humans have no idea what we are
doing. We are the smarter beings and we were given the power to know whats

punished for mis-treatment... |
