The pit bull is as much a victim of the media as it is of it's historic breeding to fight other dogs. Some unscrupulous owners, taking advantage of its natural tenaciousness and strength, continue to use abusive training techniques to produce fighting pit bulls, willing to take on any animal, even humans.
When trained from an early age to obey commands, the majority of the breed prove to be companionable even gregariously fawning dogs.


Now, why should an entire species be put to death because of a few stupid breeders? Can't they just limit breeding to the professionals? Possibly as a consequence for bad behaviour of the pit bulls could be high fines?

THINK ABOUT IT! It's like bad parents raising their child badly and then abondoning them because of their behavior! Is that fair? It's like for that the consequence would be the entire human species being put to death. Put yourself in the pit bull's shoes. Dying for something stupid somebody else did.
