dont ban the pit bull,cause its not the dogs fault that there are heartless people that dont see wrong in abusing an animal to the point that the said animal will never trust again,i think that the people that are doing this to the pit bulls should be banned..the pit bull as a normal dog is not a mean animal it is very sweet like a border collie....if you abuse a poodle or a siant bernard every day and beat it and torture it it will eventually attack everything it sees move as a defensive move because it wont trust people, now if you beat and torture the same dog and put another dog in with the torturing then that dog will attack not only people to defend itself but dogs aswell making it a dangerious animal...so are you going to go and ban all dogs from the world because they all have the potential to be dangerious or the people that are making them dangerious.

BSL is wrong. People keep judging the breed by the stereotype. It's pretty much the animal equivalent of racism. It is just a common misconception that all pit bulls are violent which needs to be stopped. Pit bulls are not any more violent than any other animal. The violent behavior that people commonly see is only a reflelction of the OWNERS, not the dog itself. This needs to stop.

Pit bulls are gorgeous and friendly creatures. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE OWNER! WE SHOULD BAN ANIMAL ABUSE AND STUFF SO NO PIT BULLS WOULD BE PUT IT FEAR TO EVEN ATTACK!! I own a pit and he is as loving as can be! One of my cats is more vicious then him! If pit bulls were banned then the shelters would be over flowing with pit bulls because many people LOVE them and have them as pets! Just think of what you would be doing if you banned them you would be taking away best friends from everyone including babies that want to grow up with their best friend pit bulls. And animals that want to live together with their best friend pit bill. Look at what this world is coming to seriously it is like the Holocaust staring all over but the target is Pit Bulls instead of Jews and the concentration camps are the pounds and shelters that they would be sent to. This is crazy. Pit Bulls are not bad dogs, although they do have the potential to be... I have three, and 4 childeren and my Pit Bulls have NEVER shown any type of aggresion to me or them. Pits are bred to be animal aggresive, not towards humans.

My son and his friends have pitbulls, there are some of the most caring and loving creatures around! These dogs are so misunderstood, people, those who want to pass these bills only know all the neg. stories on Pitbulls. Don't we have the "freedom" to choose what kind of pets we want to own? Apparently not if these so called Senators, etc want to tell us what to do, what we can own...Well when you give me the money for a pet I want then you can tell me what I can own or not. Want to pay be hundreds of dollars I spent? I think not. Talk to these pet owners and you will see how much these dogs mean to their owners.

I love this breed. Pitbulls are loving and loyal dogs. I have owned 2 and have never had an incident where I could not trust them around my friends or family. Don't punish the enitire breed for the mistake of a few. I believe this is called stereotyping and prejudice.
