I support this petition. As the proud new owner of a 3 week old, abandoned pit, I cannot and will not stand to see this pass. \"Bad\" or aggressive dogs are not born or bred, they are made through irresponsible ownership. Aggression can be associated with ANY breed of dog that is not raised properly, so how dare the blame be laid on this beautiful animal!
The ban of the American Pitbull Terrier would be completely irresponsible, illogical and would undermine everything that the American government stands for: equality. We must hold the OWNERS accountable, NOT THE BREED.
I support this Petition. I have a pitbull named Mijo. He does'nt bother nobody. We were robbed in 2007 and the police didn't do anything. There was blood and a whole hand print and the police did nothing! I don't live in the suburbs.
We Have two pitbulls. They are Very Sweet, Smart, and Loyal. They love to Play please! Any dog can be agressive, and people against pitbulls should realize that the Owners (that train or neglect their dogs in such ways, that they become agressive) are they ones we should Ban!
pitbulls should not be punished for what the owners do. its not the animals fault for the owners not taking care of thhere pets. animals should have the same right as the humans they are humans to. the owners that dont take care of the animals shoulld go to prison or jail and put the animals up for adoption instaed of killing the animals
i think that this needs to stop, if the owners are the ones that have no heart and like to raise there dogs mean instead of nice its there problems maybe they should be the ones that get there dogs taken away not everyone else!!!

Im from Indiana and the same talk has come up several times now. I havent heard much lately, but anything I can do to stop this from happening here and anywhere else, I will. I have two pit bulls and they're the sweetest dogs in the world. How anyone could hate these dogs for something they cannot control is beyond me. The problem lies with the assholes abusing them. They are the ones who need to be stopped. Let someone beat the shit outta them a couple times and see how they feel.
No dog should be banned it depends on the owner they are responsible for how the dog comes out if it has a good owner it will be good a vicious owner it will be bad but it is much easier to blame the dog right come on people wake up and smell the coffee ban the deed not the breed
