I understand that the ratings for this show weren't that great...but if nothing else, at least show the rest of the episodes that have been filmed. I love this show, and I hate the fact that it's "on hiatus" (to be PC). I don't think I'll be getting involved in any more FOX shows, either.
I hate everytime I love a show, it gets canceled. After last week's show, I couldn't wait until the next one! I don't think I'll get involved in any more weekly shows on FOX.
Don't do it. I can't wait for Thursday night to come so that I can watch Point Pleasant. My co-worker and I look foward to friday morning so we can talk about what happend on the show the night before. Please don't take that away from us!!!!!!!
One of the best shows ever not given a chance in "hell" to make it. Pulling a show with a story line like this in the middle of the season.. come on.. With the exception of sporting events, I will never watch Fox again. Good Job!
What do you expect FOX? You put point pleasant in possibly one of the toughest hours in prime time TV, and you want more than 4 million viewers? Look at your history Tru Calling 4.55 million viewers, North Shore 4 million viewers, Point Pleasant 4.09 million viewers. Those numbers are parrallel to the time slot. Sure you can put in specails and draw 8-10 million viewers, or the shows listed above can get that on repeat days for Survivor and CSI, but how do you honestly think you can compete with the NUMBER 1 REALITY AND DRAMA SHOW ON TV??? Not with any of the crap you show now. I only watch FOX for House, Point Pleasant, and Football, Looks like I will go back to watching UPN and SMACKDOWN. You truly are the cancel network. God you guys SUCK!!!

Why cancelling it when it was starting to get real good, and to replace it with Tru Calling... thats insane.
Tru Calling isnt half as good as Point Pleasant, thats my opinion.

There were only a few episodes left anyway so why not air them ? I guess I will never watch a new show on Fox (I'll be to scared that it will be cancelled halfway thru...)
This show was really getting interesting and then FOX did what it always does, cancel it. Tru Calling is a good show too but they should not replace PP with it! It is in a very tough time slot so its not that surprising but still very disapointing. Now say good by to Arrested Development as well! DAMN FOX!!!
If Point Pleasant gets cancelled I will not even consider watching any new shows Fox throws at me. I'm getting sick of seeing good shows being given a premature death! Seems like a total waste of time to get aquainted with a new series only to see it cancelled. The cancel network is not for me anymore!
Well what can I say to the so called channel "FOX". I'm from Auistralia and I'm glad we don't have FOX as a channel because you seem to have no idea when you have a great show on your hands. PP would have to be one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. Also I can't believe that you've cancelled Tru Calling another fantastic show.

Please don’t cancel this show Fox! This is an awesome show you guys are loosing ratings not because the show isn’t great but because you guys don’t advertise the show. Aside from postponing each episode each time that’s why people get tired thinking its on because you say next week on PP and you guys start showing a crappy sitcom (Life on a Stick) that’s why people loose interest. When you guys put something good on leave it on don’t show it and then some week don’t show that’s why some people loose interest.
It amazes the trash that fox puts on tv now days, instead of good quality tv. Fantastic shows like Jon Doe, Wonderfalls, Firefly, (the latter, now a full feature movie, and dvd series), and now point pleasent feel the FOX wrath. I remember the old struggling network that let shows like the simpsons, and xfiles grow, and stuck with them, promoted them, and grew their fan base. I remember when fox didnt bail shows within half a season, and swap them out with trash that appeals to the lowest common denominator just for quick and easy ratings. This network is going to hell in a hand bag tv show context wise... besides idol, they cant enough scrape together ratings. Any ways, enough of the fox rant, and more on point pleasent, which is one of the best shows of the new season, with the right promotion, could be huge. FOX promote a show after the pilot? NO way... lol. Its great, keep it around!
Typical fox!! Living in fear to NBC, ABC and such. Point Pleasant really has potential, just give it a little more push. Kinda like you did with "Buffy", "Angel", "X-Files"...just to name a few. FOX, GROW A PAIR.
I am so upset at the cancellation of Point Pleasant, you can take AI and shove it because I will not be watching anything on FOX anymore. I have watched Point Pleasant since the begining and your network has done the show wrong, advertising wasn't there and you didn't even give it a chance!
They did it ! They cancelled the show ! We won't even have the chance to watch episode 1x09 which would have been the scariest episode of the season ! I know I should stay more polite but FOX really SUCKS !
Point Pleasant, is a really unique show. Its different, it has a plot and it gets better every week.The problem is that for 1. That you put it on Thursday whenever a great show is against each other, where if you put it on a Monday where there are like 50 reality nanny shows the show would get a better following.
And 2. Is that when the show gets better you then take it off for 2 weeks so its hard to follow the show or get the attention for it when its replaced by stars who dont wear makeup. So if you actually show the show connistently for more then 2 weeks the show could do really well. But please put the show on a Monday or a Tuesday where it is against these reality shows, not on thursday where every network has their best shows out there.
The bottomline is that if you want Point Pleasant to be successful you need to put it on a night where it can thrive not feed the show to the lions as soon as the show comes out. Its a great show with a great plot just like Seinfeld was. Seinfeld had ratings problems as well and after 3 years it became the best show. So give Point Pleasant some time to grow and a chance to succeed, if you do I promise you you wont regret it.
and one more you start the show and like 90% of all your shows you stop it when people love it so stop to put some tv show completely or don't cancel the show we love....
this show is very good. i think given the proper chance it would have done very well. If FOX won't air it, the WB should definitely pick it up, since they have had a load of success with shows of this caliber.
I'm so tired of Fox, and other networks, not giving good (and unique) shows a chance. People are really, really getting tired of stupid reality crap (and no, not all reality shows are crap). But Fox seems to just churn out one after the other, while dropping one good show after the other. Now, I don't know who these nielson family morons are, but in many cases they don't speak for normal people. Now Point Pleasant (and before that Tru Calling), are very crative and unique shows of exceptional quality. Tru Calling is being brought back for at least 6 more episodes (more maybe with good ratings?). The least FOX could do is bring back Point Pleasant for the remaining episodes. Hey, they could even use it as summer filler vs other nerworks repeats. But to leave the loyal FOX fans of the show hanging, especially after already seeing the preview of the next episode is just WRONG!!

You keep getting rid of shows I really like, i.e., John Doe, Boston Public, Firefly and especially Tru Calling. Stop suffocating us with this stupid "reality" crap, and start showing us some more shows with real talent and acting.
I just want to tell you something fox. The Dick Van Dyke show is one of the most sucsessfull shows in the history of television. Its first year it was almostd dead last in the ratings. How can you not give these shows a chance yet renew crap such as Spouse Swapping and who wants to marry some guy for money. Give scripted televison a chance. it may suprise you and actually be interesting.
To not even air the balance of the season episodes,to suddenly choose not to air a scheduled episode and then to remove all mention of the show from their website..SHAME on you FOX! You have lost a viewer for your other shows now!
First you take away my Greg the Bunny, then you take away my Firefly, followed by my John Doe, My Wonderfalls, My Jury, and my Tru Calling. All these shows would have lasted seven eight seasons if they were on any other network. Don't force me never towatch you again. Bring Back PP. So there is something decent on television to watch.
fox you did the right thng by getting rid of "north shore" now do another right thing and give Point Pleasent a second season in a new time slot. it is a great supernatural show with a great and talented cast!! KEEP IT!!!!!!!!
point pleasant is an awsome show! you cant cancel it. i think it is perfect to follow the oc and i watch them both every thursday religiously. i dont care what time or what day it will come on, i would watch it so please dont get rid of it! give the show a chance.
don't really like that type of show but started watching it... and now i can't stop i think its really gd and has got better every week. it really needs 2 be given another chance i think people will feel the same when they see it. but 4 that 2 happen it would have 2 run longer.
Thanks for cancelling another one of my favorite shows Fox. John Doe, Tru Calling and now Point Pleasant. You really need to give shows TIME to develop a fanbase.
I think the American Idol "messup" was on purpose so that they could air something on Thursday at 9, and sacrifice Point Pleasant to try and get higher ratings on a Thursday.
FOX needs to realize their gonna get killed at the time slot Point Pleasant was in, and they should at least move the show to Friday's instead of the Johnny Zero crap they tried to put or Monday's instead of the Nanny crap. Elisabeth Harnois is the most beautiful girl ever and should always be on tv.

As if American Idol didn't ALREADY have ENOUGH airtime!!?...You show us addicted (PP) fans previews for an upcoming episode to delay airtime rather less NEVER air the show again!!? I'm excited for Tru Calling to return, but PLEASE bring back PP also!!! Except for hoping Cameron Richardson to be replaced (sorry...does NOT look/act like the typical East Coast beach gal!), I LOVED the cast lineup! Elisabeth Harnois is amazing!!! She's way better than the OC's "Mirassa Cooper" ANY day! The show (PP) is original & unique & NEEDS to come back! I'd view it in ANY time slot!
