I am furious with the FOX Network and wanted to make my feelings known.......
Canceling Point Pleasant was one thing......it apparently hadn't been doing well in the ratings up to that point, so it was understandable, although I would have liked to have seen it given a better chance. Big surprise it wasn't doing well, since you put it in the toughest time slot in all of television. I, and most others, knew it could never compete in this time slot, and hoped you would at least give it a chance in another before canceling it.......but no. I think the ratings it was pulling in were actually fairly good for the time slot it was in. You may not care, but I heard the show being discussed and talked about CONSTANTLY on the campus of the college I attend. So many, in fact, you would think the show was a HUGE hit. Maybe it's just my area, but we all know the ratings systems aren't always accurate, especially with Nielson recently admitting their ratings for an entire year were botched and are esentially "worthless"! But enough complaining about that.....let me get to the REAL reason I'm FURIOUS!
In an interview with the producer of Point Pleasant, he said that he had wrapped up the show pretty well in episode 13, since it would probably be canceled, giving it a "proper" ending rather than leaving off in a claiffhanger like so many other canceled programs do. I thought this was EXTREMELY considerate of the writers and producers of Point Pleasant, and something not many others would bother to do. Even though it had been canceled, I eagerly awaited the final episodes......
You can imagine my frustration (or maybe you can't - or just don't care about your viewers) when I heard FOX would not be airing the remaining episodes. What a nice "thank you" you have given to the 3 million or so viewers that have been watching and caring about the Point Pleasant storyline for weeks. I would have expected this from other
Point Pleasant rules! Way to go at 4,000 guys, keep them coming till 10,000. I am so glad that our voice will be heard. We love Poitn Pleasant and youa t Fox will find out soon enough
Please, oh please, return this show tot he screens.
And whose twisted logic was it to replace it with an already canceled show?
I feel sorry for those in the US who have lost it completely, at least in the UK we have been promised the rest of the episodes 'in the future' so please get your finger out and negotiate with E4 to allow this to happen, sooner rather than later.
And while you're at it, get it out on DVD, please.

This show is the best show I've seen in years...even my dad is hooked! What will it take to keep it on the air? Is it all about the money? How many viewers does it take to keep one show on TV!!! It is a new show, not American Idol. First Tru Calling, now this???
Thanks a lot FOX for canceling a good show and instead filling your schedule with stupid "reality TV". Not a good move. Bring back real TV and don't bow to the pressure of "reality TV".
Did you at Fox ever go and see this show? If you had you would of realised that this is a great show. Why stop a good thing. You cant jsut swep this show under a rug. We are not stupid we love a good show and jsut throwing soemthing else on wont make us forget about it. Face it Fox you Fucked up
The show is way too good, please reconsider. Me and my family love this show. I hope you reconsider and jsut look at how many peopel love this show. For peopel to fight this hard must mean its worth saving. Please realise that you actually have soemthing here.
Wow of all the shows, how does that happen? Low ratings? Well yeah but when its up against CSI and The Aprrentice. And still it had over 4 million people. Its impressive on the standpoint of it competing against a stack deck for Thursday nights. Its like being the only pitcher not on steroids and having to face a whole lineup of steroid users. Its a stack deck, it took its hits but if it was on a better day and night and also on every week then it would do a whole lot better then what it showed on the ratings(which by the way I am sure they were better especially since most people watched the show in groups). Its a cult classic cut way before its time. I think the show needs to be revived from the dead and to make all of us happy. Its a great show hands down.Point Pleasant Rules!
Amazing show. I am so pissed at you at fox! why do this to us loyal fans. From a fans point of view if you were to look at the other side you screwed us. You got us hooked on this show only to take it away. I am really hurt. Thanks for nothing.

Please explain how Life on a Stick and The Simple Life stays on the air and you cancel a clever show like Point Pleasant. I was shocked to find out that it was cancelled. Bad call.
This is the first show in a long time that actually intrigued me. I was so excited to watch it every week. The characters were great, plot line unique and interesting. I feel like you just left us hanging.....
At the very least, let us see the remaining episodes that have been taped. Either put them on the air or put them out on DVD, please. Give us a reason to have faith in your network.
Wow Fox you screwed up in a huge way on this one. How could you miss so horrible on this one. I feel that not giving this show the proper respect may be the downfall of the company. You may be the #1 network now but just like the Red Sox you will soon crash and burn. so to advoid that disaster of a team dont rest on your lurals or you will soon be behind both ABC CBS and NBC once again like many years before. What goes up must come down and what goes around comes around. Boy you at fox droped the ball on this one.

Why do you all cancel smart intelligent shows like Point Pleasant? Right, to continue the dumbing down of the general populace by showing such compelling fare as Big Fat Obnoxious Boss and The Simple Life. Do us all a favor and bring Point Pleasant back.

I don't follow many shows like Point Pleasant, but it was one of the only shows that I would look forward to seeing. and i typical Fox Fashion, they cancel all of their best shows, for example, the family guy, Arrested Develpment. Fox, you have definetly lost a viewer
Great show, if you didnt put it up against both the apprentice and CSI I am sure it would have done better. Man for it to pull in over 4 million despite the competition, lousy time slot, and hardly ever being on its pretty damm impressive. Imagine if it was on a fair timeslot? It would eventually reach 20 million at least. It has a cult following and it seems like I am not the only one that enjoys this show.
I finally find a incredibly great show that I can watch on my scheduale and they go and cancelled it. What the hell!!? It's like I did something horibly wrong and now I'm paying for it. Please save Point Pleasant, it rocks.
Cancelling this show is very bad judgement. It was in a horrible time slot/against the Apprentice, most likely the reason for the bad ratings. It is a wonderfully exciting show, please bring it back

I can't believe they'd get us hooked on this GREAT show, and then pull it right in the middle. The LEAST FOX can do is air the rest of this season. Please, this is one of the few shows I look forward to every week.
I love Point pleasant! This show is amazing. I still want to know what was on that video that was never shown. The show is just way too good. Please give it to the wb or upn if you dont want to keep it for yourself. Its too great to not have on some network.
I jsut saw life on a stick, it made me throw up. It was so bad. Well now after that one show you ahve to cancel it since we all know that shows dont deserve another chance after one bad one. Thankd fox for wasting 30 minutes of my life. Bring PP back. At least thats an hour I dotn mind wasting time on. Thats quality not crap.
Point Pleasant was one show our family watched together we will miss this eime together and conversations with our teens this was a show we related to with our teens and it felt good for a change
Sliders, The Pretender, Millenium, Tru Calling, Point Pleasant. All made in US and all pulled without an ending. Thats just the ones I can remember. I HAVE STOPPED WATCHING US TV SHOWS, until they reach at least 1 season maturity.
Was waiting for naught for the usual Wednesday schedule of Point Pleasant which was swapped with another program instead over on E4 here in the UK. I love the show and have been watching it since its first showing. Very disappointed to know it got cancelled. I think it was an excellent program over any other current shows on offer. Bring it back please!!!!!
The executives at FOX are being dumb, this is a great show. If they really want to cancel it, then finish out the season and throw in one or two more episodes to wrap-it all up!
I have watched the show since it started and really enjoyed it! I am very irritated at the Fox network for the way they handeled this series! Very inconsiderate to their veiwers! I love to watch movies and rarely get interested in sitcoms but this one drew me in and now I will never know the ending! Why would I ever want to get interested in another show that fox shows?????? This might happen again! I am going to stick with HBO series! At least they communicate with their viewers! Thank you for creating this site!

People, keep the show on the air. I love a show with suspence and attitude and mystery. what happened to shows that were thinkers. Now its reality shows for people with short attention spans. seriously how many times do we need to hear "thats hot." come on fox at least have one mystery show, and that show is Point Pleasant.
