I speak from personal experience (some of which I am very embarrassed about). However, if we can help the next woman (and there will be more) ... that's what it's all about. The basic points are:
1. Don't ever let a State Trooper take you on a high-speed chase in his cruiser. Of course these entitled egotistical maniacs think they are in complete control ... but anything can happen with an accelerated speed of 100+ mph.
2. Don't ever concede to having sex with him in his cruiser or "unmarked car" --- this is against the law and HE is not going to tell you that.
3. Don't ever believe a State Trooper when he tells you that he's going to leave his wife for you ... they never do!
4. Don't believe a State Trooper when he tells you he wants to marry you and only you!
5. Don't believe that once he finally retires from the agency, your lives will be totally different particularly when he has taken zero time to get to know your 9 year old daughter (that isn't his ...who just happens to be scared to death of him).
6. When he's ready to retire, don't trust his words - they're nothing but lip service. He will tell you anything you want to hear.
7. All those long night conversations, early morning conversations and most importantly all the conversations throughout the day while you should have been hitting the payments, passing out your resumes, networking with people ... after all your funds are getting so low that it's hard to believe you've allowed yourself get to that point. Yet you don't have much time to ponder the what if's because the telephone rings. You know it's him and rush to the phone only to hear his infamous greeting ... every time, it's: "What are you doing?" What do you have to say for yourself?" Before you can even respond to such nonsense, he'll tell you that he's bored as he's doing "a detail"where he must sit in his cruiser along the turnpike somewhere while the construction guys on the pike do their thing. You'll hear him inhaling his 3rd double cheese berger. You express that you are concerned for his heart but it falls on deaf ears ... he's just getting fatter, and fatter, and even fatter! How can you be in love with this man that is so self-serving. My guess is, somewhere between all his phone calls, taking care of your daughter, keeping the house clean etc, ect, ... you lost touch with YOU. This hard for you because he had become your life jacket (without fully realizing it, you became a "kept woman" - his kept woman ... he had you right where he wanted you ... extremely vulnerable. This insidious plan was very strategically planned for you. A bit baffling to comprehend why a person of his stature would do such cruel things to a family.
8. The State Trooper is always preoccupied with his retirement and pension (that he had work so hard at :0 --- no one gets any of that!!!
9. You'll find State Troopers love to hang out with the Trooper cronies and kibitz about what there next move will be after retirement.
10. DON'T BELIEVE FOR ONE SECOND THAT YOU ARE PART OF THE NEXT CHAPTER IN HIS LIFE ... he never asked for you input because ultimately, this State Trooper is all about "lip service" and never gave a damn about you or your child. Most of these men are misogynist and borderline sociopaths --- YOU trusted him, his words, his love and his promises. Well unfortunately, YOU, HAVE BEEN HAD! You will see his demeanor change right before your very eyes especially when there is a small child incorporated in the equation. You are about experience so many emotions: denial, rage, hate, hurt, disbelief, depression, listlessness ... the list goes on. Then all of a sudden no more phone calls in the middle of the night. So, where is this State Trooper? For starters, he's back with his wife, and after a brief week off, he's settled in at his new job out of town (of course) making an additional $45,000.00 for starters. In a few years, he'll be making $68,000.00 ... and what about you? You ended up with not one ounce of respect for yourself, you know you going to have to bring your daughter to see a counselor, you're in shock, you're depressed, and you are out of money! Whatever happen to all those promises that he made you? It is for this very reason that I am writing this (as painful as it is). These entitled people must be stopped. I wonder what the taxpayers would think if they knew just how many State Troopers are having sex in their state owned vehicles. This misconduct is unlawful, it is unethical and it is not fair that they're not being held accountable for these actions. I've lost five good years (especially with my daughter) --- I'll never get them back, but I can do my best to see that Justice is served!
