Speed limit enforcement is important for the safety of the public. However, police officers should be required to obey the same laws they enforce. If they are not responding to a call, with lights and/or siren activated, preferrably both, they should not be going in excess of the speed limit. If you have ever witnessed a police cruiser traveling in excess of the speed limit, or tailgating you when you are doing the same limit, we urge you to sign this petition. Even if you refuse to believe that police officers abuse their power by speeding, you should still sign this petition if you believe police officers should not be speeding unless they have lights and/or sirens activated.
