Rap is the #1 music right now. It\'s become just like POP music, and the artists are just buying into fads and selling shoes. It\'s not original or fresh. It\'s just another marketed product that trendy followers buy like candy so they can be cool for the day. It takes very little musical talent to create rap. Just some synths, drum loops, and poorly constructed lyrics. The lyrics are meaningless and have little or no value for the listener. Interesting, everytime I see a rock fan trying to compare their music to rap, the only thing that they are only able to come up with is that "they play instruments" and that "it talks about real issues". You want to talk about real issues? Alright, For as long as I have compared the two different music genres, I have heard of more songs in rap that actually relates to real life issues than I have from rock. Now compare those songs to let's say AC/DC's "Highway to Hell", Metallica's "Enter Sandman", Motley Crue's "Girls girls girls", and Lynard Skynard's "Sweet Home Alabama".
