A ten dollar per hour minimum wage is a start, but it has to be backsed up by laws protecting American jobs. We must impose full foreign trade tariffs on any American company that outsources our jobs. We must find a way to outlaw the price rises that would occurr upon enactment of a higher minimum wage. It would benefit all of us if corporate profits were based more on sales and less on lowering production costs.

Privatizing Social Security is another giveaway to the corporate (in this case, banking) interests, just as the Medicare Raform Bill was. And capping the earnings for FICA contributions is another giveaway to the rich. When will you people stop? Government is supposed to protect the People from theves at the top. We're good enough to die in your war, but not good enough to be treated like human beings.

The raise in minimum wage is long overdue,it's really pathetic to think people can survive on the five and some change while fat cats like Bush don't have to worry about how or if he is going to eat or have somewhere to live.Social Security is an even bigger joke,it's terrible when the elderly(some in their 80's)have to continue to work because their meager benefits can't even see them through to another month. The rich keep getting richer while the poor have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.SICKENING!
