We, the tax-paying people in the state of Alabama, demand of our lawmakers to make the laws protecting our children from sex offenders the strictest in the nation. The parents in this state are putting their faith in Alabama's government to let our children run safely through school yards and neighborhoods without the threat of pedophiles kidnapping, molesting, raping and/or killing the future of this nation.

You, as a legislator, are responsible for giving our law enforcement the tools they need in order to stop sex offenders from roaming our streets and to protect the lives of our children.

We trust, hope and pray that you will do your duty and protect our children from this ever-growing and evermore vicious evil that has inflicted our society.

Sex crimes have been going on since the dawn of time. Now information about this particular subject is instantaneous. You don't want to take care of your child so you are asking the government to do it. Having a child is a big responsibility. The life you had before the child was born is gone. That child should be your life but, of course its not so now you want to deny to the american citizen the right to pursue happiness because you don't want to devote all of your time to your child. How selfish you are and very ignorant. May god have mercy on your soul.

Sex offenders should no longer have rights! Once they have taken away a child's innocence we should take that away from them, among other things. But I am sure that will never pass ;)

I totally agree. In the UK we want tougher sentences too. 1 in 5 re-abilitated paedophiles re-offend. We too fear for our childrens' safety. We would like a death penalty ideally, but at the very least a REAL life sentence, not the 12 years that is currently the set amount for 'life'. This is usually the most a child has of their life before they are subjected to the awful crimes of sex-offenders.

I support this petition because there should be no statue of limitations on raping a child! It's because of statues that pedophiles get away with sexually abusing children all their lives and many are never charged!They slip through the system. If we don't take a stand, how will we end the cycle of abuse? Sexual abuse affects children all their lives!
