I would like to see harsher penalities for child abuse and sex offenders. Repeat offenders and the offenders that murder children should be put to death.
My child was just recently approached by one that lives two doors down, she ran from him thankfully. He often stares at her and now is getting bolder and bolder, when I call the police, I am told there is nothing I can do, that its not against the law for him to talk to my child.
This is an offense that should carry a zero tolerance. Meaning if you do it you spend the rest of your life in prison. Why do the youngsters have to pay for these cowards to be in society?
I absolutely agree! being a mother of three girls I find it sickening that the school distict we belong to actually has the bus stops in front of a sex offenders house!!! right at his front door. When I brought this to their attention they looked the other way because no one wants to face the problem. It's time someone stands up and fights to protect our children.
I also support the death penalty for anyone who harms a child. To rob a child of their innocence or anyone for that matter is the same as robbing someone of their life. Ask yourself: If you would put a convicted murderer to death, would you not do the same to a convicted sex offender? Or would you just let him go so that he can molest, rape, or even murder another child or individual?
It is disgusting that innocent children are afriad to go outside because sick perverts are on the street and they can be raped and/or kidnapped. They should not have another chance to do it to any child or person.
Childhood is magical,special and innocent, these EVIL people take that away.

I support this petition more than most people as I'm a Pedophile victim of my Step-father Charles Parry & a Child Abuse victim of my "Mother" Emily Parry of Bellport, N.Y.. As they have gone on with their lives very comfortably & financially secure, I've been forced to fend for myself as they put me in the street at 2 1/2 months 16 years old. My Step-father told my "mother" "Either she goes or I go" & my "loving mother" put me in the street when I told her he's following me around the house & asking sex questions shortly after marrying my mother. This petition is awfully important as the enemies of children(better known as Pedophiles, Sexual Predators & Molesters)desperately need all the protections they can get. Many times our system fails us & we are left in the dust as in my & thousands of other cases. I reported this victimization to the Police around a year after it happened when my "mother" called the Police on me after an argument(she's more concerned about the one she gets sex from). They never reported it to their superiors & as a result, I've been victimized a whole lot more as a young attractive girl in New York City. My "mother" made, makes & will continue to make it her business to destroy my family relationships, discredit me to all who will listen & make BOGUS Court Cases against me to no avail. This is the story of most if not all the victims of Pedophiles who have no choice but to have them as family members. We lose our entire families as a result of reporting out abuse. Also, as in my case, my "mother" is an alcoholic who makes irrational, selfish decisions. I have seen a sex offender. im 14 and a guy has exposed himself 2 me and started jacking off. it was at school and the guy was about 25. it was rude. im going 2 court 2 deal w/ the sick man. my mind is corrupted. poor me. :(

In Florida, our Department of Corrections has determined it is above the laws written with the blood of our children, they pick and choose which conditions to enforce due to their own interpretation of the law.We have always had to worry about sex offenders, now do we have to worry about Law Enforcement doing the jobs we pay them for?

I support this petition because sex untreated, sex offenders recommit crimes after release from prison. They are sick, and need treatment, or they will continue to offend. They are a hazzard to children and women in their communities, many of which do not report their habitation to other innocent citizens.
