I totally support this petition because we need to send a clear message that sexual predators are NOT going to get away with their crimes. And maybe next time a pedophile thinks about attacking a child or even an adult he will remember what will happen to him.

We need to make stronger laws against these monsters that have no rehabilitation. They torture kids and take their innocence away and they go back out into the streets after serving time with good behavior. When they come out, they go back and do the same or worse. Please make it mandatory life sentence for these inhumane creatures that I can not call people so our children can be safe once again.

And I feel that if these laws were in effect when I was a child then when I called the police I wouldn't have been laughed at and I wouldn't have had to run away all those times. Even now when I think back on it and all those nights when he came into my room just so he could molest me I still get sick to my stomach. So if this will help change the laws then I am all for it. GOD BLESS ALL THOSE CHILDREN WHOM HAVE TO GO THROUGH THAT KIND OF SICKNESS

We all need to band together to fight these crimes against children. I too suffered at the hands of child predators and I know all to well the emotional, mental and physical damage that it inflicts. While the physical healed, the mental and emotional scars I have always carried with me. WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS CONDUCT TO CONTINUE.

He was delighted when I was going to get married becaused then he could really f*ck me and I could get pregnant and have his baby. This is the real mind of a child molester. I lived it. He died 14 years ago, but I still live with it. Pedophiles should have the full extend of the law enforced against them.

482 4 Jan 2007 - 4:49    Saddened... : I would like to first say that as a "sex offender" I would have to agree with a lot of which is said here. But some of us are charged under hateful circumstances, not truth. I basically had plea to something that did not happen, and I am also engaged to the "victim", in which she fully supports our situation. I am around these "types" all the time through therapy and most are very decent people. I agree that some cannot be helped, but that is far less than the most. Maybe if we get to the root of the problem, this whole issue may slow down in time. Some of the same people here that support this petition are also the same that support "Desperate Housewives" and many other sexually derived shows and entertainment. I remember a short time ago the country would not allow swearing on tv and nudity during prime hours...now it's everywhere. Most of the people I am with are there because they were also abused. This is not an excuse, but their "fate" did not start with an innocent beginning. And our classification of this system is horrible. Three numbers summarize the numerous amount of crimes in this catagory? It makes no sense when your actually in this situation. As an example... I'm sure you have all seen the commercial where a guy brags to his friends that he is going to "do it" and he runs across a football field naked. Everyone laughs, but yet someone in my group did a similar thing, jokingly, and he is now a "threat", a level 2 mind you. So this guys goals and chances in life should be cut because of this mistake? All I know is that I have worked very hard to be where I am today, had a great childhood, completed college, play an instrument, and love my family...and now I am subject to the same fate as the guy who sits in Chucky Cheese gawking at our kids... We all need to educate ourselves a bit more and get away from the damn

It saddens me when a child is killed and they give the person a light sentence because "they are emotionally challeneged or mentally challenged", that is bullcrap. They should be killed, not allowed to go on probabtion. I generally do think the death senentce is a good thing but for a person that can engage in sexual acts with young children and babies should be put to death.
500 16 Mar 2007 - 2:38    J.L.WHITE : as a surviver of molestation, i cant beleive that anyone would have to draw up a petition just to get our gov't to protect our children. when i was 4 i was violated for lack of a more appropriate word. because he was someone i knew, i could not tell my mom. i felt like i wasn't safe. i grew up with it all raging around inside of me. i have bipolar disorder, have been treated for alcohol abuse and used to ritually mutilate myself. every time i see a green door, i remember what that animal took from me. i am only 24.unless the gov't wants more individuals like myself, then they will put a stop to the raping of our children. if the parents won't care for the children, then the united states gov't is obligated.
