I would love to think that if any of that legislation passes our children
would be safe. There is no cure for sadism and sociopathy. There is no
treatment that works on sex offenders. There have been therapies and
treatments, but nothing that is even 50/50, and even those programs are
experimental. But after years of debate and ideas I'm sick of being
experimented on. Life sentences is the only proven way to go. |

released prisoners in the United States of America is 60% compared with 50%
in the United Kingdom. The report attributed the lower recidivism rate in
the UK to a focus on rehabilitation and education of prisoners compared
with the US focus on punishment, deterrence and keeping potentially
dangerous individuals away from society.
Judges in Florida have the authority to require chemical castration for
all sex offenders- WHY do they not use this power? No one knows. PLEASE
MAKE A CHANGE! |

i am a incest survivor so i firmly agree with everything in this petition.
I have 2 children that need to protected unlike i was. There was no
protection for me. I was alone and in some ways i will always feel alone.
If you are reading this please think about this... your son or daughter is
walking to the park after school and forgets to check in first and the only
thing you remember is what they were wearing when they left for school and
the next thing you know the police call and they found your child in a
alley and your child has been sexually assulted,beated, but not killed, now
you would want to hurt that person. then you find out the person who did
this is your best friend. You turn them in. They only get 6 months in
county jail. They fail to register on line. They repeat this horrible crime
but this time they get away and they are not caught. Please help this group
of people and all of you sign this petition your childrens lives depend on
it. Thank you all for letting me voice my 2 cents worth. God Bless you
