Cynical and desperate moves to sut NSW Public Service jobs are already a feature of Morris Iemma's govt. The Liberals will extend that policy, giving a boost to NSW unemployment statistics, and misery to working families already under considerable pressure in a work environment which has already seen Howard's IR policies creep in the back door of the NSW public service
There are no more nurses left to fill out more paperwork after 20,000 more cut backs go ahead. The police force already spends most of its time in the office doing paperwork instead of being on the street. Sack half of all public service management and we would have 500 million already available for infrastructure projects every year! Sack management not workers and retrain workers that are illegally made redundant by the government!
Given that demand already exceeds capacity tenfold its inconceivable to imagine that the oppiosition leader believes that there can be anything to gain from further public service job cuts!
Public servants are already under-resourced and struggling to provide basic services to the community. Don't make cuts- instead support the sector properly.
