Working in administration I find we are always short staffed and any reductions in staffing would be disasterous for the Department in relation to supplying a service to all our customers and the stress created for the current employees.
I have no doubt it's not just the Liberal party who will be cutting jobs if elected. Pressure should be put on all parties not to cut any more public sector jobs.
Every preference vote on the ballot paper that we put the Leberal Party candidates dead last will destroy every first place preference vote that a rich person puts on their ballot papers. Lets all do this and destroy the NSW Liberal Party for the rich only forever!!
Due to past cuts, the front line staff in this office now have to do all the backroom tasks. So I guess these are now the 'backroom' staff Debnam has his sights on cutting, because there isn't anyone else left here. In my case I am a manager, but sometimes feel more like a well- paid filing clerk.
If the NSW Govt wants to slash jobs in the public service whether it is Liberal or ALP, why do they always start from the bottom of the structure and get rid of the admin staff who earn less peanuts and not the other way around ???
Just what does Debnam think those 20,000 people do every day? I'm proud to serve the public—the vast majority of public servants are what keep those front-line services ticking over. We provide resources and support to teachers, nurses, police. And we vote.
To others still deciding whether to sign this petition - you'll only get one chance to save your working conditions, if the libs get in on march 24, kiss your a*** goodbye!
