We, the undersigned, want you, SCE, to lower the minimum age requirement for registration of a master account on the PlayStation Network. Requiring users to be 18 years of age or older to register for the PSN not only entices people to enter false information but also makes you, as a company, loose out on many potential users. Many people who purchase or obtain a PS3 are under 18 and their parents are unwilling or simply uninterested in setting up an account on the system just so their child can have an account. Technically, by your standards, it is impossible for these children, some of which could be 16 or 17, to enjoy online play on their new $399 or $499 machine which advertises directly on the box about it's "free online play". We believe that a 13+ age minimum would suit the system and service much better, enabling many more persons to enjoy the full benefits of a PLAYSTATION 3 without having to enter in false information.
