Sony's fairly new 2.6 update is ruining amateur programmers futures. It prevents homebrew games from running on the psp. Many of us do not fully understand why it has to be banned. The first thing is that it can be hacked through GTA so its not like its unpenetetrable. However, many of us do agree that psp homebrewing can be illegal. Illegal homebrewings do not consist of non-playstation games. Illegal homebrew is games such as Wipeout Pure being availible for free for download and use on a psp. This is not what we are supporting. What we are supporting is that Sony creates an update allowing homebrew games. The homebrew games however, should have to be licenced or authorized by sony to work using something like an encryption. This will eliminate all legal problems involving games like Wipeout Pure or Twisted Metal being downloaded for free. These will not be authorized or licenced by sony. To be licenced Sony can have people submit their homebrews and Sony can test these so that they meet copyright standards. This is all we are asking so that we can keep homebrewing available.
