OLD Grenday was -ok-. The new "music" that they have been releasing is simply terrible. It is nothing but basic rythms mashed together with lyrics so obviously contrived to set an example of being "against the authority" and against "the man". It is tailor made to appeal to people (old and young alike) who feel some irrepressible need to step outside of conformity. Unfortunatly, the only way these people know how to escape conformity is to follow along with a group of people who claim to have already done so. Greenday is NOT punk. Greenday is "pop-punk". You cannot place a band like greenday in a group that contains such masters as The Ramones, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Misfits, Rancid, Anti-flag, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and many more. To do so is near blasphemous.

Wow, the only person here that is smart is Lime-bo, i hate to be a "hater" or a "fag" but god knows green day is the biggest load of fakes on the face of the planet. i mean come on little kids. and yes i am positive you are all little (under 15) because you can't spell to save your lives. But back ontopic, GreenDay is the Definition of poser, anyone who takes the time to listen to their fake lyrics should get shot(Oh god evil thought im going to hell for this, not.) Greenday's Homophobic Lyrics not to mention how crappy they are they have the most basic rhythms its actually quite sad. If you want to listen to a GOOD band how about checking out something like Avenged Sevenfold, until then have fun with your mothers changing your diapers kiddies ^_~

Well, hate to break it to you kids, but green day was good. Now, they spew a hell load of bull to every one. They claim they're punk, but by doing that, they degrade all that is good and punk in this world (oh, and punk is dead). Also, by making all the claims that they have, they are defacing the name of punk in its entirety.
