Prince William County students are at a disadvantage because they are one of the few counties in Virginia on a 10 point grading scale. The Fairfax County School Board just voted to change thier grading system to a 10 point scale. Prince William County students deserve to have equal opportunity when applying for college.

I was just informed of a mistake on this petition. It should have said Prince William is one of the few counties NOT on a 10 point grading scale. Prince William is currently on a 6 point scale.

Prince William County is currently on a 7 point grading scale. This petition is to ask the board to change to a 10 point grading scale.

The school board may vote on this issue February 18th. I have signed up to speak at the board meeting and will bring a copy of this petition. If anyone is interested in signing up to speak, you can sign up at pwcs.edu.

THE PWC SCHOOL BOARD DISCUSSED IN DETAIL AT THEIR FEB. 18TH MEETING, BUT DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO CAST VOTES THAT EVENING! THEY WILL BE VOTING ON MARCH 4TH!!! WE NEED PEOPLE TO SPEAK AT THE BOARD MEETING ON THE 4TH ESPECIALLY STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND ADMISSIONS COUNSELORS FROM COLLEGES WHO SUPPORT THE CONVERSION TO THE 10 POINT SCALE. PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD TO GET THIS PETITION SIGNED AND FIND SPEAKERS!!!
