Racial Profiling is the use of race to justify certain actions taken against particular groups of people. Racial profiling usually involves police accusations against a particular race.

In the United States, it is statistically proven that the majority who were scrutinized by police officers were mostly blacks, hispanics, and other none white races.

Prior to september 11 attacks, there was a significant increase of racial profiling used within the US. A poll conducted by Bendixon & Association showed that Muslims were three times more likely to experience profiling since 9/11. According to the data provided by Amnesty International, a internatioanl human rights organization, an estimated 32 million Americans have been subjected to racial profiling. Almost one in every three American citizen are in possible risk to such abuse.

Although there are certain laws passed out in regards to this issue, nearly almost half the states in the US have no specific laws banning racial profiling. That is why have the responsiblity to inform the authorities to make/re-enforce laws throughout United States to ban racial profiling.

Racial profiling is intolerable and certainly unjust for those who had experienced it. To be truly living in a healthy democratic government, we must let our voices be heard and show our support against such unrightious behavior towards our fellow citizens.
