I just want to let you know that people out her actually care, and we support you. I hope people understande what is going on. I ran into this page while doing a paper for Law. Stay strong, and hang in there, and hope for the best tommorows always another day..
Keep your eyes, faith, and prayers with God and He will not turn you away.
Remember that the prayers of a mother avail much. May God give you the strength to endure and may He show His mercy for the quick release of your son.
He admits he has mad an awful mistake but I fail to understand the purpose of treating him so harshly and hope some reasonable compromise can be reached
No human should have to endure this type of punishment, it's inhumane. Yes, possession of a drug is wrong, the sentance given far outweighs the crime. None of the prisoners in that jail should be living that way. Something needs to be changed here immediately before lives are lost.
Although I agree that that Randy needs to make amends for his crime, this type of incarceration is barbaric! Let him come home and pay his debt to society here.
I sincerely pray for his wellbeing, health and safety. But can one be so ignorant to the drug laws of other countries? Not to mention the thousands who have died or become permanently damaged from ecstasy. Yes, his treatment is inhumane, but so are the effects of what he was about to do to others had he gotten those pills through. The stopping of this quantity of such a lethal drug has undoubtedly saved other people's lives. One cannot feel sorrow for an individual who aids in contributing to destructive addictions and death. There are many others serving time in inhumane prisons for drug crimes worldwide, so this should come as no surprise to anybody. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Be informed www.ecstasy2.com
I pray you can get through this. You saved a life in your past and now I believe yours will be spared. My thoughts are with you and all your family and friends!
I pray that you get the medical treatment you need, it sickens me that human beings are treated this way regardless of the crime, stay strong Randy you can make it through this mate.
I'm angered & appalled that such injustice exist in a world governed by laws. Prisons should be a place of rehabilitation, not a torture chamber. There is no excuse for such cruelty!
I feel dispair for Randy & his family ,hope it all works out sooner than later. But we must not forget the fight for poor local imates who have no finanal help available or govment . GOOD NEWS SOON...
as a mother I can not imagine what Dee Hogle is going through, please at least get him back to Canada. They do not even get that here for murder. What he did wasn't right but neither is the punishment he is receiving.
I find it difficult to give any comments on this overwhelmingly painful situation. I'll keep praying for Randy and alikes and their families to reunite soon.
Until the vietnam prison system becomes a human one, Randy James Sachs must be brought to his home country to serve out time. The months of absolute destitution he has already faced probably equal 5 years in prison-for a prisoner to experience such tooth decay and kidney disease is appaling-the system or lack of it is turning this young man into an old one in a few months-bring him home
A number of the people who have signed this petition have hit the nail on the head: "if you did the crime, you do the time." However, the conditions of detention that you described appear to be quite inhumane. Seeing as Randy admits he has screwed up, I support your appeal for clemency.
