This petition is to challenge the law of visitation to irresponsible non-custodial (a man or women that does not live with their child/children) parents.

Custodial parents that have raised their children without the physical help of the non-custodial parent for a certain amount of years should have the right to arrange visitation according to their child or children’s best interest.

After 13 years, a non-custodial parent should not have the right to get normal visitation if the mother and/or child feel uncomfortable for any reason with the situation.

The court order for visitation should not only focus on the non-custodial parent rights, but also focus on the rights and feelings of the child and custodial parent.

I'm sure that there are just as many cases in which non-custodial parents are loving and caring and have been or tried to be a part of their children's life. This petition is not against them or their visitation.

This petition is against irresponsible mothers and fathers who play around with their children's lives and fillings without any remorse or regrets. My child's father has never in 13 years tried, asked, or even mentioned being in my daughter's life. In fact, the court asked him if he wanted visitation twice and both times he refused.

I found him when my daughter was 9 years old and asked him to see her. He agreed and we set up arrangements. After around three visits, he completely stopped calling her and never visited her again. She was very hurt and disappointed.

I am the person that wiped her tears and held her when she cried. He's the one that walked out of court with all the rights.

If there is anyone else who have been through this or are going through this situation, mother or a father, please type your name on this petition and tell your story. I am doing research on this matter in order to change the law of visitation.

Parents, who have put their children first, struggled, loved, protected, and never walked away, have rights.

Or at least they should.
