Randi had stayed VERY balanced until she could no longer take it! She should NOT be punished because of whom the bosses support! Not to mention the act she is being punished for DID NOT occur over AAR air time, grow up already Mr. Green! Support who you'd like, you do have your one vote, just as we all do...
I saw Randi's comments on YouTube. I am a supporter of Senator Clinton and I admire Ms Ferraro. It was not offensive. It was stand-up comedy, and taken as satire, in an adult atmosphere, and not for consumption on the public airwaves. To fire or suspend Randi for these comments is an affront to the principals of free speech.
What a bunch of cowards Air America is! She wasn't even on the air, and she was just saying that Geraldine allowed herself to be pimped out to Hillary's racist campaign against Obama-- it's TRUE! Isn't that what Air America is suppose to be about?
I am sorry but as a loyal supporter of free speech and by extension aar i am very suprised that you are taking what was arguably some comments that were said in jest and making a big deal out of this she is your highest rated and most succesful on air talent if you don't reinstate her i will not renew my aar membership.
I've been a faithful listener of Air America since day one -- first online, then on KOKE 1600 AM here in Austin, then Air American XM 167. Through all the changes with Air America, Randi Rhodes has been the one constant. These off-air remarks pale in comparison to the punitive censorship being engaged by the Greens. Free Randi's voice, and reinstate her now.
First you fired Mike Malloy, then you suspended Randi! Until she is reinstated and apologized to, I will only listen to the Sirius Left channel, the brand new Sirius indie channel on Sirius 110, and Pacifica Radio's WBAI FM.Independent; and of course Nova M Radio.
Who cares what she says. People knock down politicians all the time. It's a joke and shouldn't be censored. I won't listen to shows that are stuffy. That's why it's progressive talk. Not CONSERVATIVE.
Furthermore, if this issue is NOT resolved with the reinstatment of Ms. Rhodes, then it is required of you to then take immediate legal actions to remove Ms. Roseanne Barr's Roseanneworld website from the net, as it is certainly, a racist and sexist website. The things she said weren't nearly as bad as the things that Bill-o and Rush say ON THE AIR every damn day. Just because Randi said the f-word doesn't mean she should lose her job. And whatever happened to the first amendment, Air AMERICA?
I have supprted Randi and Air America. This is similar to what you guys did to Mike Malloy, and that is not right. She has a right to say what she wants. She did not say it on the air, what she did was separate from the show, and what your doing is not fair.

I joined Air America as a premium member in order to ensure that I never missed Randi's show. I will no longer support Air America if Randi is not reinstated.
