When Randi was suppressed at AAR, I walked, too. Fox Noise I could understand doing this...but AAR? At last, they show their colors. G'bye AAR. I'm off to other stations and programs...unless I hear that Randi is back.
I understand the AAR decision, but this is too much. It's incredibly stupid to draw this out. Put Randi back on the air and be done with this. It's embarrassing.

I need to hear her voice in a country where there are too few liberal voices.We all know that the listeners hungered for voices from the Leftand that is how we got Air America. Rhandi is part of what makes you greatand without her and Thom Hartmann---your stationwill probably not last. I don't want that to happen but Air America has almost gone under many times There is no one like Rhandi even with her brusque behavior at times. We can always count on her to tell her trutheven if it can be harsh. Rhandi doesn't mince her words. I was at the sf event. Did she ask to be recorded---I think not. She was doing a wonderfulappearance for the sf fans. This is the first time I ever knew she was coming out this way. Rhandi has inspired and riveted me and my brain into action.please don't take her voice away! Let's fire Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage and the others that regukarky spew hate, bigotry and sexism. That Randi got carried away should not cost her her career, although I do not condone her choice of words. We need her voice and her spirit on the air. Thank you.
I will no longer subscribe to Air America's premium service if an amazing liberal voice, Randi Rhodes is removed from their programming. Air America was a lifeline to me when it first came on the air. It is a shame how far its fallen, firing or marginalizing all the best on air talent and replacing them with uninspiring hosts for the most part. The only reason I listened was for Randi, Sam Seder, Mike Malloy, Thom Hartman, and Rachel Maddow and one by one they've either gotten rid of those hosts, taken them off the air except for the weekends, or put them online. I am in the NYC market, I can hardly believe that in one of the most progressive, Democratic leaning cities in the country that the Air America affiliate there is so short sighted and now this. Losing Randi will be the end of Air America, she is the anchor of the station and is almost singlehandedly responsible for whatever successes the network has had. She was one of the people who fought hard to found AAR. It is disgraceful that she should be rewarded for all her passionate hard work in this way.
This was a comic stand up line that flopped. I've heard worst even from Bill Maher at his SF Symphony show. The joke got booed, and he moved on, we all did.
For the sake of comedy, freedom of speech, and the right to be wrong, I say reinstate Randi and don't abuse your power as an owner. Lenny Bruce was a martyred blue comic, recognized for his genious after his death. Don't sacrifice Randi on the pyre of censorship and blue nose values. Reinstate her now.
This is enough! Randi's comments were NOT on air but at a private hosted event. She should NEVER have been suspended. We need her voice on back on the air in her regular time slot - NOW!!!
Reinstate Randi. Even though she is under contract with Air America, this was not an Air America event. If Air America wishes to distance themselves from Randi, release her from her contract. It's disingenuous to pimp her name for Air America's profit while sidelining her for comments she made outside of the radio show -- comments that did not reference, nor invoke the sanction of, Air America.
This is to be expected from the boneheads who fired Marc Maron, Mike Malloy, and replaced Sam Seder with the veritable vocabularian, Lionel.If Randi isn't reinstated, I will switch over to Nova M full time!
Please bring back RR. Anyone who has listened to her should not be suprised by outrageuos hyperbole. Humor may be subjective, but our support for RR is not.
