Release it Neil/Elliot! I am too young to have bought it originally and too poor to pay for a HUGELY expensive bootleg. Don't YOU GUYS want to make money off it, not greedy bootleggers?
While I can perhaps understand both the technical issues and the "shit why look back at that hell-hole" attitude that have long worked against the CD realease of "Time Fades Away." I also clearly understand that not allow everyone to experience Neil's catharsis WITH him is downright criminal as well, The only to leave the pain behind is to jump right in, feel the flames and release there is another side. PLEASE, PLEASE find a way to get this album out on CD.
I hate this record, one of the poorest NY ever did . Please release it on cd, so they'll hear and the stupid myth will stop !
It's not true, TFA is wonderful, and Don't Be Denied is one of his most beautiful songs !
Terry Smailey
1st got this one on 8-track...later on vinyl. Please re-release this in cd/dvda format. Not the most pleasant NY release, but definitely one of the best.
"Time" is certainly one of the most amazing collections of music of its era. It and "On the Beach" and especially, to me, "Tonight's the Night" all are exquisite representations of an artist with courage and integrity beyond measure fearlessly seeking to plum the depths of his (and our) tortured souls. Make it possible for more to here these masterpieces, please.
Presenting an aural portrait of torture and pain, it's Mr. Young's greatest live album (also the only one consisting of all-original tracks). I was fortunate enough to track down a copy on LP, and I listen to it at least once a week. It's a shame that it's not on CD.
MAN, i live and breathe neil young...he is playing on april third in winnipeg...and sold out in 16 minutes...i guess i'm going to have to smuggle my way in...theres nothing i wont do for neil. oh ya, and release time fades away
I wonder...with rumors that a new album is coming this Spring on Sanctuary, will this prompt Reprise to realease TFA?
Without a doubt. TFA, OTB and TTN are the Young Trinity.
I remember looking at my parent's Neil Young albums as a child and this one always stood out with its amazing cover. I sure would like to own one of my own someday.
Fantastic album cover and fantastic album.
DVDA or SACD ? and the long awaited "ARCHIVES" It's got something to do with all three me thinks. Only time will tell I guess, cause were all just pissing in the wind .
