it is unfortunate that we all to go to this much trouble to re release an album that will sell well, make them a ton of cash
unless this is "rev up the buyers, make it major issue "making it a guaranteed sell out..
now, if you still have an old stereo with a turntable that works , and has a good needle...
well there is a place in chicago called "beverly records" its actually is in the suburb or beverly, illinois.they have ever record you ever thought you needed.. granted, some are radio station demos, others used but in premo condition, and there is the rest..they will put on a "wait/search list and if it is found.. its yours.. and they are not that pricey.. under 30 dollars (10 to 30ish) they also have hard to get european releases as well. If you ever come to chicago, go there, but be prepared to hang out
there for at least 2 hours.
they might have a site on internet.
I lost my cassette two years ago. I've been desperately trying to find the vinyl album in all kinds of collectors stores, but over here in Belgium it's no use. Please
do me this favour!
Antoine. France.
P.S. Excusez-moi pour mon très mauvais anglais
In France, we like Neil. " On The Beach's " exit was a success. We look forward that all the discs go out in CD. PLEASE, Reprise, made with business! Republish Neil Young's complete! Americans (and Canadian) French love you. Friendship. Antoine. France.
P.S. Excuse me for my very bad english
I want this CD SOOOOOOOOOO bad! I have it on vinal and I still love it after all these years. Time may fade away, but the music on this album should NEVER fade away!
yeah I've got it on vinyl and a bootleg CD but hearing "On the Beach" on an official CD gave a much better sound and the sound on the greatest hits CD is like hearing a whole lot of new songs.paul Bristol England
Got this on vinyl (lucky bastard) and as a bootleg cd and definitely think it should be legally available. By the way: Release JTTP! Peace

in an age of polished product--TFA should reside alongside Tonight's the Night as a proud Youngian finger to over produced musical "product" all too common today. Plus it is rock n roll great!!
I love this album. I bought it in 1973 and its all scratched up.Release on CD. I went to the Time fades away concert in the early 70's at the Cincinnati Gardens and it was great. It was rockin, Better than Harvest.
Loved seeing "On the Beach" finally and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a non-bootleg version of this fine work! Please consider it Neil!
Reprise has a great history of releasing quality music, even in an age of total sell-out commercialism, you all have stayed within limits and seem to, even when you stray, come back to the fold of keeping some art & higher purpose in music, so thanks... Please continue that legacy by releasing this record... Maybe you can add media from Neil that hasn't & cannot be touched by the bootleggers who have been forced to release this record to Neil's fans out of their love for Neil's contributions to our rock-n-roll, which we will not let die, although it may get far into 'the black' we disciples will always pull it back into the light... As long as we have 3 chords, a message, electric guitars & drums, we will fight the death culture & live in ragged glory & not pressure cleaned mediocrity.Fly one, broken arrow.. please release this. I refuse to buy the bootleg but many others do. why should they make money from you without doing anything for it?

It's a shame that we can't enjoy a nice HDCD version of this great album. Reprise did an excellent job on "On The Beach" and "Reactor." I was hoping and hoping that they would release this album. So now after a couple of years I can see that the hope was to no avail. So I listen to a CD that I made from the record. Of course it's not anywhere near the quality of a HDCD but it will have to do for now.
One of the albums of my youth.
It's a real trip listening to it and the crackles as the vinyl goes around. Kinda makes me not want a CD version.
At least make it available after you're gone man. Part of the 100 CD archive!!

Our man Neil, the epitome of integrity and articulate artistic expression...you know. Anyway, C'mon Reprise Records. We won't burn out, rust, or fade away in our dedication or respect for our inspiring friend. (if it's not too much to ask, that cool orange "Reprise Records" label would be a nice touch in your soon to be released CD of Neil Young's "Time Fades Away." Thanks, and hello Neil fans.
I sure would like to relieve my guilty conscious and replace that sonically-inferior bootleg. With all the money you record company dudes are losing kids downloading inferior -quality .MP3s, here's an excellent opportunity for you to make a few bucks, 'cuz I guarantee you there's plenty of us who are willing to pay for the real deal.
I have every single Neil Young CD available--of which I'm aware, anyway. I have TIME FADES AWAY on vinyl but I sure would like a CD! Please, release this SOON!!!
