I recently dubbed the LP to CD and used software noise, scratch and pop filters. The sound quality is still just so-so and could be much better. I have tried 3 different LPs, and they all suffer from bad pressing and distortion. The 8-track is worse. Please release this CD! At this point, it is an historically important album, plus it has some really great tunes.
Still have the vinyl, bought 2nd hand, mid-80s for a few pounds; one of my earliest NY albums. Along with Zuma it set me up as a fan for life, and a great cover too. Please release it and save me the bother of recording the vinyl into my Mac so that I can have it on CD to play in the car.
I bought the vinyl album upon release.Rain damaged and lost in the eighties. Paid $85 for a low quality CD-R copy on E Bay(was listed as an import, I felt ripped off, but it is better than no copy at all) Would like to purchase a better copy. One of my favorite albums. Has a raw, emotional quality not found anywhere else, one of a kind. I fine piece of rock history.

I love almost everything in the Neil Young exceptional discography, but, this album is a real highlight. I've finally "homemade" my CD version by downloading the songs and the cover pictures, but I do not bear anymore to listen "Time Fades Away" with the cracks of the vinyl in background. A CD version would be more appropriate.
