Release time fades away and all other pertinent archival material before we all get to old to hear and in some cases see it properly. Hope your health is back to par Neil. Thanks for all the mindblowing jams over the years and thanks for making the musical part of my life more complete. cnm
We won't be denied -- together we can get this missing part of the puzzle for those who have never had the chance to experience this great piece of art.

I've heard all the songs in versions bootlegged from old played-out LPs. I want a real CD with that great artwork. I went to Best Buy to get On the Beach and American Stars 'n' Bars 3 times (the 2 postponed release dates and then the actual day they were released).
I foolishly took part in the favorite song poll. I don't like to rate art. I recall this album for it's emotional, intellectual and musical ass kicking more often than any other Neil offering and I know 'em all pretty well. I have a crappy cassette copy that I recorded off a warped vinyl in '92 when I didn't imagine this would ever be out of print. Would "Catch 22" be out of print"? Or the "Electric Koolaid Acid Test"? Then surely never a Neil Young album. Especially this one. Jesus, yonder stands a sinner.
Neil is an icon in the music industry. He is the Kahlil Gibran of music. No one in this world has worked more vigorously toward the understanding of what community is and on the other hand preserving freedom and independence in each individauls life to be expressed with love, but through his music. Yes, Neil is a hero of mine. I actually had a chance to meet him after a concert that his mother attended in Tampa,FL in Feb. 1983 outside a hotel next to his tour bus. We greeted him with a cold longneck Budweiser and on the back of my vehicle was written,"Rust will never sleep". We had driven down from Alabama. Now I hope in the future that he'll tour in Alaska where I have resided for the last 28 years. Please release this deserved album and CD, so we can all remember the experiences in life that we have all lived through. His song,"WORDS" descibes why you should give us this much sought out album. Long live the King, as he repeated so many times!!! Shawn C. Dochtermann PO Box 3886 Kodiak,AK 99615 #907-486-8777
please don't make us wait until neil dies to release this masterpiece. it will then seem like just cashing in on something not worthy of release otherwise. release it now.
