We want to be able to pay for this cd because we respect the life work of Mr. Young. An artist of his stature should have his entire life's work perpetually in print. Even the ones that didn't sell good or were critically panned or left fans wondering. Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, work like this has earned a place in the universe.
I bought "Time Fades Away" when it first came out and the copy I have is now unplayable. The album is one of the most memorable and best of Neil Young's many great albums. I have been looking for the CD for years and just found out about the petition. Please make it available either on CD or through an on-line service.
Being old enough to own the vinyl, I didn't realize this awesome album was not available on CD. Please, for those fans who weren't yet buying music in those earlier times, release Time Fades Away on CD! I myself look forward to replacing the worn out wax with some new 1's and 0's!
Neilo (as we call you in Dublin), release the album man! I've introduced so many alleged NY fans to OTB and TNT while driving around the Wicklow mountains that they've thrown out thier copies of H and ATGR they simply must hear LA MUST!!!! (Theres a pint waiting for you in the Ballyknockan INN overlooking the beautiful Blessington lakes in Wicklow if you do...) - Sid N' Nancy
Please release a remastered CD version of Neil Young's classic album, "Time Fades Away."
I have worn out at least three copies of the album since 1973 and I currently have a bootleg CD copy of "Time," but I would gladly buy an authorized version.
Please release it.
i bought this when it was released.... always one of my very favorites. i guess raw pain are the best words to describe it. i don't have a record player anymore and would love to get this on cd. c'mon neil we know you're not just about 'harvest' and it's 'trilogies' he he. this is the 'you' we've fell in love with.
We just uncovered a copy in my sister's collection and listened to it last night.Scratched, thought it doesn't matter...absolutely fantastic...a classic. Atlanta, GA
on the beach was the first cd I bought some time ago. it's amazing that such a treasure was hidden for so long. let the next treasure be made public as well!
Neil's work kind of surges in and out of my life but always strikes a chord. Tonights the Night is an album that means more to me 30+ years after it's release than it did back in those fuzzy days. I'm sure Time Fades Away will spark the same level of fascination and awe. TRM
This was about the time I turned away from Neil Young. It was so ago long I don't remember why exactly ... but releasing it only makes sense now ... he is right up there with Dylan & Simon ... and maybe I'll find out why I reacted so negatively back then ...
I always loved this album. I bought it when it came out and my copy was kind of warped. I should have returned it, but I just taoed a couple of pennies on the tone arm... Last Dance is one of my favorite Neil Young tunes of all time and one of the only one that puts me in a trance when I listen to it. I would love to buy a legal copy instead of the sh*tty mp3's I got off the net.
