Neil Young is one of my musical heroes, as he is the reason I play guitar and harmonica, and his music has helped me through some situations. I was 15 year old kid who listened to whatever was popular until I stumbled upon my dads Neil Young collection and my life was changed. He is not only one of if no the greatest Canadian Musician to ever live but possibly one of the Best to ever grace the earth. Please release this album, it will make alot of people smile.
I have listened to Neil since my college days in 75. His music has helped me through the rough and good times of my life. RELEASE THE ALBUM, for a new generation of Neil Young fans.
But please also release this on vinyl, not necessarily the 180-gram stuff. And ensure the vinyl is widely distributed. Make Neil put his mouth where his money is on his analog-vinyl stance!
Although I can respect Neil's decision to keep this album experiance low-key, I think once released, it will open up a side of Neil Young many casual fans haven't seen.
Come on...the fans want it on CD, just do it. You (record company people) will make a lot more money by officially re-releasing this than you are right now. If Neil doesn't like the album...too bad! The fans obviously do...plus, the record was made, it exists, and people will hear it one form or another. While you're at it, how about an unedited "Live Rust" re-issue?
I just saw "Walk the Line" and it got me thinking about who the lifetime legendary musicians are among my 'peers', the people like Johhny Cash, who have spent thier life doing thier own thing with music, critics and rec execs be damned. And still retained a following of folks who cared deeply about their stuff. Neil was the first that came to mind. Long live Neil !! All of his work should be available for all to discover/ rediscover.
I first heard it when i was a 13 years old boy. Now nearly 46, it is still one of my number one records. I have an old tape i have put on a CD. Please, let me listen to it the sound quality it should be.More than 30 years after its release, it is a Masterpiece of the 70's music.
My tapes and vinyls are fadding away and I don't buy bootleg.
There comes a time when your standing on the beach, the hurricane comes and you've seen the damage done. But you can't be denied that Neil sings the words that you are looking for in his songs.
Look out mama, it's gonna take a lotta of love to Release it!
Well, Neil released OTB and it is totally amazing and everyone is glad that he did it, so why not TFA? PLEASE, DO IT!!Let old and new fans alike enjoy it!
Do it for the young and the old. the kids who picked up a Neil record lately and have been moved by it. Your a soul man let all your music be heard by all.
I have Time Fades Away on vinyl but it is so worn out it is completely unlistenable (if that is even a word) anymore. I'm not a big fan of digital media for music I think it takes the life out of it but I will buy TFA on CD when it comes out just so I can listen to it again
All day presidents look out windows all night sentries watch the moon glow all are waiting til the time is right....the time is right, now, release the album already
Niel helped me thru some difficult times when I was really down with the threat of prison for refusing the draft. Standing my ground and not running off to Canda was partly attributable to his grit.
