Pittsburgh, PA, USA. This is the absolute best Neil Young album, no matter what the Maestro himself thinks. It's a crime that this isn't on official release yet.
it would be awsome if everyone had the opp. to listen to such a great a album. fortunatly i have & had the pleasure already. Own it on vinyl. love the popping. makes it so much better. maybe it can be released without it being digitaly remastered
You don't get the full story on Neil til you hear this one. Come on Neil, you said all the "bad stuff" should be released too....to show bad you were, how good, how scared...
come on Neil... don't be stingy, share! You are the greatest and most diversified and collaborative artist/performer ever. You make my heart soar like an eagle and get choked up by just thinking of you! How gay is that?! LOL!
When are we going to get remastered versions of the rest of Neil's catalog. "On The Beach" was superb, now I'm waiting for "After The Goldrush"; "Comes A Time"; & "Live Rust" especially.
I have about 250 cd's now I collect NY as I have Jimi, Mingus, Others. Had over 500 on vinyl lost in a flood in 86'... NY/TFA was one of them. WANT IT BACK - please...
When I first bought this LP in '74, I was rather jarred by it. But it grew on me in a big way & I wore out two copies of it. Please release it In CD form.
Bill
I have this on vinyl. No joke.
Well, it's actually my uncles. It sits unused on a huge pile of Neil vinyls. My uncle hasn't listened to them ever since he left his parents home I think. It's in a cupboard in my Gran's house in Geelong (that's in Aus.)
I have had a close co0nnection with Neil all my life (I'm 57) but I never got this album, and it looks like I should, since I regard Tonight's the Night as one of the most pained and honest albums ever made.
I have been listening to Neil for years and as I got through all avalible material I sought out several of the unreleased albums. I've always felt Neil's "dark" period in a personal way, the music is so honest it refuses to be denied (pun intended.) Anyway I got a CDR of this with the added and long forgotten "War Song." It's a shame that the trilogy remains incomplete. We got On the Beach, now close the circle!
