I was in High School when this came out. My friend would play guitar and I would sing along with "Don't be denied" while drinking Fisher beer in a cemetary above our town in Magna, Utah. "This is going to be experimental, but good". I was eating a lot of speed and working at a gas station. He became a musician, driven by this music. The girl who broke my heart lives in L.A., and I always think of "Love in Mind". I'm just a screwed up scientist now working on embryonic stem cells. I need this released on CD to exorcise my demons.
I support this petition.as i still have the original with lyric sheet, all in mint condition. This record needs to be released for the generation coming behind us who will not have a dylan or lennon or god bless him, neil!
I support this action. Since age 13 I've been listening and buying work of Neil. Now 13 years later it's my goal is to collect all of his records/cd's cause I think ALL the albums in their difference from on to another are worth listening to. I just can't stand the idea that there is still a raw diamond out there wich I (we the fans) can not enjoy and listen to..... Neil please publish the record!!!!! Greetz from Holland

Way back in the winter of 1987 I was a student in Fredericton, NB, Canada- I found a cassette copy of "time fades away" at the local library & stole it- rightly so within a year someone had stolen it from me- these songs still haunt my memory- I need to hear them again before my time on this earth is over- Please Neil grant me that wish- Sam
I've been a Neil Young fan since, well, Buffalo Springfield.
"Time Fades Away" is one of a very few albums from my high schoold days that I wish I still had, and have not yet replaced.

Neil Young is one of the most amazing and influential artists of the 20th century, He deserves to have this album pressed again.
This album is one of Neil's greatest. It is raw and uncompromising because that was the mood it was recorded in. I could give a damn about the quality of the master, its still way better than my 33 year old LP. I mean everytrack on the album has better "studio" sound than Will to Love from Stars N Bars.

I am signing this petition at 4:38a.m. on a college computer. Tonight's The Night and On The Beach are absolutely perfect for listening to under these conditions. Just knowing that this album exists, without even having heard it, makes me want to have the full trilogy.
What I can see of the album, however - the lyrics - I know I love. As for the obviously disastrous concept, the fact that the album was released in the first place regardless sums up what is so great about Neil Young. In that spirit, let's have it on CD - the "behind the times" format theme can still be kept now, by making sure it can't be downloaded for the next 25 years!
