I have been an obsessed Neil Young fan since 1989 and finally got around to downloading an LP version of this album - this is an absolute masterpiece and an essential link between Harvest and On The Beach. Um, please release it on CD, Neil.
This is one of Neil Young's finest albums. I rate it higher than 'Harvest'. I'd also like him to release "Journey Through The Past" on Cd as it has the full version of "Soldier" and an incredible live recording of "Southern Man"
This was one of the first Neil Young albums I ever purchased, and 33 years later I am still a huge fan. Periodically when I walk into a Tower Records in Hollywood or Santa Monica, I head first to the Neil Young section of the store to see if there is anything new I haven't purchased yet? I always walk away thinking damn! "why doesn't Neil ever release Time Fades Away, on CD???

Great album. My older brother turned me on to Neil and to the reocording .The only problem is there just wasn't enough of it.And I have to turn the record over! But I've still got it.
This is my favorite Young album. I was so surprised that this album never made it out with the remasters of AMERICAN STARS AND BARS, HAWKS AND DOVES, ON THE BEACH....
All gems in their own right.
But TIME FADES AWAY is Youngs crowning achievement - A monster from beginning to end. Just in terms of the sound recording itself, let alone anything else.
Isn't always the case though.
It's like waiting for Allen Klein to release his sweaty repugnant grip on the films of Alejandro jodorowsky.
It would behoove reprise ro release a gorgeous edition of this CD - In more ways than they realize.
Why have these second rate bootlegs circulating when they can do Neil and the record justice.
Release TIME FADES AWAY....For the fans!!

For the love of God Release this album to CD. I have the album and it's one on my Neil Young favorites. This album is the only reason I sill own a turn-table.
This man is an American Treasure. All that he has done and tried to do should be kept for generations and generations to enjoy and think about. God bless Neil Young. He has added great richness to our lives through his music and lyrics.
TFA was always my favorite Neil LP. "The Bridge" and "Love in Mind" used to give me chills... Haven't heard it in about 20 years. Need this one released!!
