On Monday July 11, 2006, Washtenaw County Circuit Court Judge Melinda Morris departed from sentencing guidelines and sentenced James Robert Smith to only one year in jail for two counts of 2nd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. James Robert Smith sexually assaulted his 7-year old step granddaughter repeatedly, between 2003 and 2004. This is Smith's second time being charged with this type of crime. Judge Morris had NO legitimate reason for departing from sentencing guidelines to prevent this child molester from going to prison for a substantial amount of time.

Judge Morris's lack of concern for children was quite evident as this repeated child molester will be back on the street in 9-months. Our State Legislators should take measures to ensure this judge is removed from the bench ASAP to prevent her from placing the public, i.e. children, at risk in the future. Judges like this need to be held accountable.

Since one of the ideas is to split strings not into words, but hopefully into phrases more semantically informative than the words they are made of, doing that better should mean better suggestions, and avoiding what essentially are word n-tuples should make for smaller data and slightly faster querying.

I got the same tramadol attack... well, not the same, because it was only about 20 comments instead of 90, and i t have any filtering set up, and I just deleted them one at a time... hmm.. the only thing really in common was that it was about tramadol... what filter do you have set up that caught them all?

I will DEFINITELY NOT vote for Melinda Morris EVER because of Her lack of Best Judgment in a case that didnt have time to wait for a Court Session. She decided to NOT make a "fast" judgment after hearing the details of the situation and KNOWING that it was life or death. Due to this, Our Baby Girl passed away without the Medical Attention that She needed and deserved that was withheld.

My neighbor is a serial drunk drive who suffers from a mental illness and makes everyone in the neighborhood miserable. We are tired of having him release just to have him arrested again. The judges are supposed to be on the victim's side.
