Miss Jones has been notoriously known to insult tv and music personalities as well as everyday people like you and I on the famous Hot 97.1 radio station. This was a woman who took part in playing a disturbing song mocking the death of R&B singer Aaliyah during her show's run. She also took part in playing a disgusting song of the 2005 Tsunami in Asia. Although she was suspended with no pay for a couple of weeks and apologized, she was still able to keep her job. She ridicules people who call the radio station and makes them feel like dumb, inferior beings. She freely uses racial slurs to insult anyone at any time she is given the opportunity. I feel that it's important to address this issue as it is one of the most popular radio stations in the northeastern region. As you are reading this, think: Have you or anyone else been affected by the Tsunami? And even if you weren't, how would you feel if you or someone you loved were affected by this tragedy, and someone as heartless as Miss Jones used it to make a vulgar parody of it?
