The pledge of allegiance is nothing but a brainwashing tool for little kids and nothing but a daily mumbling of meaningless words for older kids. Remove the pledge from public schools.

I support this petition. I have a different reason than other people though. I dont think it's meaningless. It's not for nothing. It's for brainwashing children at a very young age into thinking they have to give up their own minds and swear loyalty and allegience to a country, it's religion, and it's government. Next time a teacher forces you to recite the pledge of allegience, agree with a smile and throw your arm in the air like a nazi and happilly recite it just like the nazis did.

the pledge is a waste of time. no student actually thinks about the words or what they are actually saying. if the pledge is so necessary then why dont school systems educate their students on the history of it? it was first used by the national socialist worker's society! do you want your kids pledging to this?

I do not support the petition! I love how all of you bring no arguments on why the pledge should stay out of school to this "petition". All you do is curse people that do not believe in the same things as you, and boast that your way is correct. Seriously, until a valid, reasonable argument is brought forth on why the pledge must be pulled from schools, it will remain. Sorry to burst your bubble. America does not cater to the needs of the minority groups . . . and most of this country is religious . . . the pledge is staying. Plus I like saying it!

absoultly, did you know that the pledge was written by a socialist, who didn't believe in freedom, and his belifes were similar to that ov hittler and the nazi's, in fact it was originaly saluted the with the "hiel hittler" salute, for more on this subject go to rexcurry.net
