Ellie embodied the Oriiole spirit, not only as a player and coach, but as a member of the community. His memory should be honored in some fashion.

I support this petition. Oriole's Magic died with Mr. Hendricks, one of the last of the true Baltimore Oriole Greats - whose love of baseball carried over to the city and the fans for a lifetime, not until there was better money somewhere else. Elrod was an Oriole's institution and without question, his number should be retired. He gave his all to the Oriole's Organization, it's time they gave something back.
