I support this petition. i knew this would happen, i missed a few episodes and was totally lost. it's really hard to follow a series when there is only one shot to watch it. i was just kinda hoping it would do o.k. so i could buy the box set on dvd. (that's what i have done with all of "The O.C.") until the networks come up with a way for viewers to catch an episode they missed, then this type of show is doomed. and FOX never gives shows proper chances anyway. i give up on that network. at least HBO gives you several opportunities to catch an episode with their shows.
