This is not a lost cause. Family Guy was revived because of it's DVD sales, why can't Firefly? In a world filled with so much reality television crap, why can't we make room for a little quality television programming? Sometimes people need an escape from their everday lives and Firefly does that for me. Sheppard Book said in Serenity, "If you can't do something smart, do something right." Here you have the chance to do something smart AND something right. Don't stop the signal!
I am not sure I believe that people, as a whole, can change anything in this world unless the people who decide the fate of things feel that they can make a buck on it. Those people whom make those choices destroy creativity, destroy a great story. It's a shame. Unless the people who listen to the masses care about what is being said. The world has changed. It's about money.
Well, if it's about money then take a risk. This is one of the greatest stories that I have had the pleasure of taking in and watching. The show is amazing. The character interaction is key, the developement is exciting. there is a complex truth between them. The show needs to survive...
Having a weekly dose of Firefly would make me a happy camper, especially on a network that isn't burdened by censors or network execs that are afraid of controversial material.
Firefly is the best damn show ever made! The producers must been insane if they canceled it! Do another season at least! There's many who feel the same as me here in Sweden where I come from.
I must just say that Firefly is one the best sci-fi shows ever made. And there's not just fans in the US, but also abroad. Here in Sweden there's many people that like the show.
Please revive this great show, I work for a very large cable company, and have a great idea on what people enjoy, and premium channels like hbo, and showtime should have more orginal series, it would definately see less disconnections of the service.
Firefly is an awesome series that deserves another chance! With the movie that has just come out, the Browncoats have been in full force and talking and taking people who've never seen Firefly the Series and got them into the show/movie. WE WANT IT BACK!!!
I am a big fan of most of your series, Deadwood and Entourage especially. It would be fantaastic for you to pick up the Firefly/Serenity world and revive it. It has a huge built in fanbase, look at the series DVD sales if you need any inkling into the buying powers of these fans. Imagine 3-5 years of DVD sales of this magnitude, it would be a winner in most peoples book. Give it a thought or 2. Thanks
I don't normally watch anything more than once, and these folks have captured my heart and my eyes many times over. Is was a mistake to cancel it. Writing and characters such as this deserve to be on TV again.
The popularity of the show on DVD sales alone should make this a tempting prospect. Plus, the cast and crew consider this story a labor of love. I feel certain they would commit to it and with Joss at the helm, it would be well received.
the cancellation of firefly was a huge mistake. the characters,setting,and story line were brilliant. with such a huge fanbase, it makes perfect sense to revive the series.
Oh, my goodnes....Bring it back. I'm so lost with out Firefly. I love all the characters, the music, the filming. It kills me it is no longer on. I want more!!
