In 2 weeks, I've become completely obsessed with Firefly & Serenity. I borrowed the DVD from a friend, watched the episodes in 2 days and felt as if I were losing an old friend as the credits rolled on "Objects in Space." This is the best written sci fi series I have ever seen. Don't make the same mistake twice.
Firefly failed because FOX didn't know what to do with it. Now that it is known how much people love Firefly it makes perfect sense for a network like HBO to pick it up.
Firefly, one of my favorite sfi series, belongs with al the greats.
There's no doubt that it was wrong to cancel this unique concept of storytelling.Craving for more and more and more ..........
watched the show, bought the dvd, saw the film, and love the story, the characters, the concept... i read a lot of scifi, and this crew of folks is one of the most memorable i've ever run across... levels and levels of meaning, and skillful, brilliant storytelling...
I would without doubt, subrscribe to any network that picks this up, not just for the duration of the show, but for next couple of sessions. This show is just brilliant and too good to be shortlived like it was.
this is a great idea.. not only am i big fan of the series and movie but im a ADULT so yes i do have all the cable channels and im a big fan of HBO!!!!
Firefly rocks. Good television is hard to come by these days and this series has proved itself after being cut off at the knees by it's sponsoring network.
The movies still made 25 million. 10 dollars a ticket, that equals 2.5 million people saw it. If even half the people who saw it were fans of the show, that means you have 1,250,000 fans waiting for the show to come back. For the record, I'd imagine more than half were fans before hand.
Bring back firefly! Although it didn’t do well on TV, its doing well as at DVD sales, so start production on the completing the first series (22 episodes), and start on the second and put straight out on DVD. I on the whole prefer watching series on DVD you get more of the jokes you get to know the characters better and you don’t have to wait a whole week for the next episode!
After a friend recommended Firefly; I watched every episode, pilot and extras first time in one sitting from after work on Friday till Saturday morning.
I would sign to any Australian network and in addition buy any merchandise no matter how bad the quality. I'm serious. Do your worst. I'll lap it up and ask for more.
Just bring back the best gorram show in all the verse!!!
I'm all for this going back on the air. While I'm more than willing to subscribe to whatever network shows it, I only hope a regular network picks it up for those that can't afford it...not to mention that it'll be more accessible in general, and even if people haven't been previously following it, reruns will snag a whole new group of avid fans.
Anyway, rock on and I'm glad to contribute in whatever way that I can!
I'm another fan that got hooked by borrowing the DVD collection from my brother. Now I've got my sister hooked and her coworkers at Intel. I really do hope they'll find a way to continue the show.
