I'd watch. I'd buy premium channels, and watch. I'd make my friends buy premium channels and watch, too. I still believe this series could explode into something like STAR WARS was in the 70's, once people discover it.
Just because the show bombed on TV and in the box office, it doesn't mean it's a failure -- as in story and characters. The mainstream audience was never pitched on how good the Firefly/Serenity project is/was. Heck, tough movie-critics Ebert and Roper gave Serenity "thumbs up." That means something. With patience, this series could catch on and become a franchise player. Third time is a charm.
One of the best sci-fi shows ive ever seen. Should have no trouble bringing in fans of sci-fi as well as just of normal television. is amazingly well written and acted.
I missed the show when it was first aired but I've been watching the series on DVD and it is amazing. There's no place I can be, since I found Serenity. Please bring the show back!
Im in Australia, imported the DVD from the US on a recommendation of a friend and have since passed it on to many friends who love it as much as me. More please.
Firefly was anexcellent series, with great actors and stories. The movie serenity was excellent, andFailed, I think more because of poor advertisement than any lack of merit of it´s own. There´s much to be said for the idea of buying the rights for this series.
FIREFLY is one of the finest television shows ever created, with one of the most loyal and dedicated fan bases around. SERENITY has (and will continue to) expanded that fan base and renewed interest FIREFLY. Your support of the show will win the appreciation of hundreds of thousands of fans, not to mention new viewers for your network.
This is an incredibly well thought out petition, not the normal 'ooh, our show is good so you have to give it back' garbage. I hope whoever reads it finds the time to watch the series and discover exactly what we think is so great about it!
This has to be the show with the greatest potential I have seen in many years. That it was cut short before it could realize that potential, is tragic.
