Firefly is my friends all time favorite show (Mine as well) and she is obsessed with it more than I. This show is popular enough so why cut it short of its brilliance?!
I currently have America's Top 60 on Dish Network, but would definitely add either the HBO or Showtime packages to my subscription should either of them decide to revive this series.
To give you an idea of how serious I am about this, I don't presently subscribe to any premium channels, but I will subscribe to the one that brings back Firefly.
My wife, my son and I have have become huge fans because of this movie. We got the dvd's AFTER the movie came out. We did not even know there was ever a show. It is amazing. I am buying about 5 copies for Christmas presents. HBO would be nuts not to take this on and do about 10-20 shows a year.
Original, engaging, with well-developed and lovable characters, and a thought-provoking line of stories, Firefly has hooked everyone I know who has seen the dvds. Quality of this kind is rare, and people will pay to see it. Bring it back, and they will watch. ;)
Firefly has something few SF series do: good acting, strong character charisma, old fashioned adventure and a total lack of pretentious stupidity so common in SF shows. It could appeal to people of all ages, both sexes and any nationality.
This is the best show and best sci-fi movie I have seen in over a decade. I'd actually watch TV again if they brought it back, or even go back to the movies at that.
I had never heard of Firefly when it was on tv, but then a friend of mine loaned me the series on dvd and that was all I watched until it was finished. This kind of sci-fi is special because each character is really well fleshed out and it places less importance on pretty special effects and more importance on the interactions between the characters.
The show was awesome and I unfortunately only managed to catch a few episodes when it aired due to work. There's a reason why so many people have bought the show on DVD and went out to catch the movie. The fanbase was upset that a truly original show was taken away from them. Do us a favor: bring the show back, keep Joss Whedon in charge of it, and put it on at a decent time/day slot so people will be able to watch it. I currently do not have television of any kind, but if I knew the show was coming back I'd sign up for it in a heartbeat.
I love this show and I can't get enough of the quick-witted remarks Mal gives off and the way he orders his crew around! I love each character, though. (Serenity was awesome)

This is one of the cleverst shown I've seen in al VERY long time. And has the potential yo become a cult classic in the same league as Star Trek and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Give it that chance, putit back on!!!!!
I believe that the revival of this show would be huge. Very few television shows have nearly as much character, story, charm, and amazing visual storytelling that keep you captivated the way firefly has. Emotionally powerful, funny, and amazing to watch (if you show it in order) this series would win over fans if given the chance to watch it from the beginning, in order, the way it was meant to be seen. Don’t let this amazing universe and cast of characters fade away. Keep Serenity flying.
Hands down, one of THE BEST Sci-Fi series of this generation. Right up there with Star Trek (though I've never been much of a fan of ST) and at least as good as Star Wars.
Very creative show, I'd pay for a subscription to whatever premium network picks it up, though I'm only 17 and never have before.
