It was an awesome series that I didn't discover until the replay on the Sci Fi channel. The movie was good but a rebirth of a TV series is the perfect vehicle for Firefly.
The best show in years. Don't let the previously poor ratings fool you--it was terribly marketed. Bring it back and watch the advertisement dollars flow in!
This show is so unique, it glows and has a special place in my heart. Nothing short of a masterpeice, This would be a perfect HBO series.

My thing was the characters, it's so hard to find good well rounded characters on Telivision these days, I just feel in love with the crew.

Firefly was so much better than anything else on TV, either when it originally aired or now. The dialogue, story lines, and characters were well-developed and involving. I would definitely watch this show again if it were brought back.
What is the world coming to. Reality TV is destroying us, we need brilliant, high quality Whedon TV or the future is doomed to dull brain sucking, mind numbing shows like Big Brother and Im a celebrity get me out of here. Thats not a future i want my kids to grow up in ( if i ever have any ).
I am a college student who is writing her thesis on a subject that involves Joss Whedon's television universes, as well as an intern for a major motion picture company. Mr Whedon's show Firefly has nearly limitless potential, which is exceedingly rare. The only similar case I can't think of at this juncture is Golden Girls, which was shortly a show about 4 elderly women, but ended up being much, much more. That show airs at least twice daily in my area, and many of my friends, aged 14-35, watch all the time. Joss Whedon's father wrote for Golden Girls.
I got hooked on the show after a friend took me to go see Serenity and know that I'm watching his DVD, I've become a junky! It's an excelent show that deserves a place on TV! Please revive!!
This was a really great character driven show. it would do well as a series on a premium cable channel. the fans are hard core and would pay to watch it.
I've just watched the whole DVD boxset in 4 days. I', bereft, and confused as to why Firefly was cancelled, it boasted some of the best characters and storylines 've sen in a long time.
