This is definitely in the top ten best sci-fi shows ever created. Of course, something this original and fresh couldn't survive on TV. It takes time for this sort of show to sink in and take root. But now that it's taken root and acquired a fan base, it should be brought back for at least another season or two.
Firefly was, honestly, the best series I have ever seen. It pushed the limits of the space-western genre in new directions, and remains one of the outstanding and unique examples.
Great series! I think a lot of people didn't' know about Firefly until they saw the Serenity movie. It was kept in the dark but man I'm happy I got the DVD series box set. The series is just incredibly good, funny and interesting! I want to see more!
i love firefly! and have converted many of my friends and family to not only watch the dvd's but buy them! please bring back the show, 600,00 people can't be wrong.
As a die hard trekkie, I've found this show a refreshingly realistic breath of fresh air. It's an awesome show, with well thought out characters, unique plots and presentation, and excellent graphics. It's easy to see why it's so loved.
I became a fan after the series was canceled. I had several friends talking about the series. When it came out on DVD I bought the set and have been hooked ever since.
Firefly was one of the best TV series I've ever watched. I didn't know about it when it aired, partially due to strange scheduling, but I really wish I could keep watching it.
I think it's pity that such jems like "Firefly" are being cancelled and at the same time charmless series like for example "andromeda" have succeded to endure for many years. At first I was not thrilled with the ideo of space cowboys, but after I watched Firefly-dvd collection, I was impressed. The characters development and the dialogues are incredible.
