Firefly is such a great show! I'm a huge fan and so are my daughter and girlfriend. We have all introduced many people to the Firefly 'verse and they all ask the same thing: Will there be more? It would be wonderful to be able to tell them yes!
There are very few movies or tv shows that we will watch more than once but we are working our way through Firefly for the fourth time and still find it as much fun to watch as the first. We are also loaning out our dvd set so others can enjoy. We may have to buy a second set just to keep on hand. The characters were all interesting and the writing superb. Thank you for helping keep the signal alive. Tom
New to the show, but now that I've seen a portion of the series, I'd certainly watch more and endorse a continuation of the series. It hooks ya. Better than the networks "Lost" or other SciFi series.
I'd never even heard of the series until after I saw Serenity. I thought Serenity was awesome. I would love to see the series on TV. Though, I would prefer that it be picked up by Sci-Fi, as I don't get HBO or Showtime.
Firefly was one of the most original, intelligent new SF series on the air! It created a rabid following and gains new fans daily through the series DVD, Serenity, and word of mouth/internet. It seems like a no brainer to bring it back if the original cast and writers can be obtained.
We need more well written and original shows such as Firefly. This franchise has a great deal of substance and failed on Fox due to executive programming missteps, ie. showing the PILOT episode last!!
There is a ground swell of interest that has been generated by the movie Serenity...just think of this as another Star Trek phenomenon (that has legs!)
I am not currently a cable subscriber. But if Firefly was resurrected, I would gladly get cable along with the cable network that picked up the series.
Best damn series I've seen in a long while. Who're the gorram idiots who canceled it? Did they even watch it, or put any effort into helping it reach more people? I'd love to have this show back -- HBO, answer my pleas!
Then again, do we really want the show without Wash or Book? I kinda got mixed feelings about that, but if anyone can make it work, it'd be Joss.
Please bring this show back. I have been watching the first season over and over because there is nothing else on TV that is more interesting at this point in time.
Fireflies are cool, you can write you name with them and it glows, but that's nothing compared to the series Firefly--it glows without having to smear the little scritters.
From Asimov to Verne, from UFO, Space 1999, Star Trek and Wars, to Dr Who and even Red Dwarf … see ‘em and read then all… and nothing ever captured my imagination like Firefly.
Not least of all because this series was a testament to intelligent TV. It may not count for much in this day and age, but a station that would pick up Firefly would stand to gain non-monetary advantages as well. Running a ground-breaking series like this may well be good for a network's profile.
