I only decided to watch the pilot episode of Firefly because i heard a movie was being made. And when i watched it i didn't really like it much but decided to go and see Serenity anyway. After i saw Serenity i had to give it another chance and watched the next few episodes and i got hooked and watched the entire series. It is one of the greatest TV series' of all time. Bring it back. Please!
I believe that th success of the film has shown that either network could have a swell in its audience by continueing the the Show Firefly on a medium sized budget if only for one season, or simply a network made sequel to the film.
Firefly is indeed one of the most enjoyable shows I watch The show really does have the potential to become a fantastic sucess the cast of actors are brilliant and I hope sincerely that this show will be picked up soon (are you listening SciFi Channel) please.
You all know by now how much untapped potential this show has. Now that the fan base has grown thanks to the movie, the series, if brought back, will undoubtedly be a hit.
I am typically not a TV watcher - I hadn't heard about Firefly until I saw Serenity in the theater... I am now completely hooked and would be one of the first to sign up for Firefly's new home on a premium channel.
Reviving the series has a enormous potential for whatever network would be astute enough to pick it up. Not only is the original fan base there already, it has been boosted dramatically from the movie and DVD sales.
If the success of the movie alone shows, there is a large following capable of generating funds for the network that picks Firefly back up. Sci Fi is successfully replaying the first season, and there is an obvious interest.
Hell yeah, I dont care which one gets it, but firefly was one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. If someone got it then imagine the increase of viewers coming from the firefly fanbase
