Although appealing to only a limited market share, this show has maintainted the interest and financial support of its demographic beyond all expectations. Moreover, profitablility has been demonstrated outright. The writers could expand this universe a very great deal: The last episodes and the film suffer because the writers are obviously under pressure to suture together huge issues in minimum time. This tells me that the Firefly premise is far from played out, and that a revival would be in order.
