HBO would be an awesome venue for this style of show. HBO has a killer line up of shows from various genres: the mob show, the western, the historical epic, the 20 something hollywood, the 30-40 something New York sex lives, the depression era side show fantasy, the modern mafia family drama.... Firefly fits so well into this lineup, it adds a Sci-Fi show and it maintains the excellent writing, "punchy" dialogue, fresh but talented faces, and a discerning audience. ALSO, the freedom and support to create excellent TV that HBO execs give to their in-house projects could really allow Joss Whedon to produce movie-like episodes, but on a Television time scale. I.e. we all win. We don't have to wait years between 2 hour bursts of firefly and Joss Whedon can still satisfy his stated disire to do something different than network TV production.
The best show in years... everytime i watched it I had a smile on, I never missed an eposide while it aired and I bought the show first day it came out to own, first in line for the first showing of the movie in my hometown, I lost all my favotite TV shows... Xfiles, Buffy, Angel... please bring back Firefly... It is one of a kind...

if Universal is done supporting this show after the mitigated succes of the movie and the Sci-Fi channel is unwilling to find it a home then by all means one of the premium channels should p/u this show! It belongs on TV and I know I'd pay for the channel that adopts it which means they and my local cable provider get a little richer and I get the big damn verse back
if a network does take it on i hope it gets showed in the UK too or I will miss it and that would both suck and blow great show im not a big fan of SciFi shows but cant get enough Firefly
My friends and I adore this show. All of us have the Dvds and all of us would gladly subscribe to the station who creates new episodes. Fox is ridiculous. Please bring it back.
I have never petitioned for a t.v. show before but I have to now.I think Firefly was the best show I have seen. There was a "real" magic/synergism in this show.
This show was WAY ahead of its time and would be a wonderful addition to the lineup of HBO, Sci Fi or any channel with enough vision to see the possibilities of what this show can do.
Get wise suits, Firefly is marvellous and has so much potential that fools who originally cancelled it already look like the fooliest fools who ever fooled themselves - Fools!!
Probably the best show to ever get on the air and be totally screwed up by a network. There need to be more shows like this. like the Guiness ads say BRILLIANT!
I am freakin' sick and tired of corporate men and women in expensive suits sitting behind big desks deciding, for us, what we "want" to watch and what we should like and do. Bring back Firefly! Oh yeah...it wouldn't hurt to tell the Scifi Channel what you think since they now have the syndication rights to the show ;)
I will follow Firefly wherever it goes. No other show has givin me this much enjoyment , suprise, sadness in every episode. Please, let Serenity fly again.
best and most original show I have seen in ages. I went to 4 of the movie premieres and would have gone to more if I could have. Bring this show back before it's too late.
I never got a chance to see firefly before it was cancled. I watched the pilot on dvd and was hooked this show is way too good to die I NEEDs to come back
