We are gathering signatures to send along with Rick's Application for Executive Clemency from the State of Illinois. In 1993 Rick accepted a plea deal involving a felony that resulted in him serving only 90 days work release from Champaign County,Illinois and 36 month probation.This deal was accepted because of the fear of being sent to prison for several years and at the time Rick and his Family were unable to obtain an attorney and was forced to use a Public Defender who did not investigate this case to his up-most ablity.At the time Rick was a member of the Carroll Fire Department out of Urbana,Illinois.He now has remarried,is the father of three growen Childern two of which are currently serving our country in the Military in Iraq.We are asking for anyone to help bring his dream of receiving Clemency a reality.Please feel free to contact Rick directly either through his email at rickphillips4@cox.net or by phone at 918-402-6595.We are gratefull for any and all support in this matter.If indeed anyone deserves Clemency it is this Gentleman.Thank You.
